    Description

I am a Mum to a beautiful, strong, intelligent 5 year old little girl. My little girl attends a Steiner school. We are hoping for someone to join our home for 4 months from April to July

We live in the beautiful, bustling town of Ennistymon. Five mins from the Atlantic Ocean; beautiful beaches, cliffs and just twenty minutes from the burren. We are part of a very creative, open-minded, environmentally driven, heartfelt community where you will be surrounded by music, culture, arts, agriculture, nature. We have lived here for 2 years and everyone and everything in this beautiful town makes it home!!

We are a loving, warm family who love to communicate but also feel it’s important to have our own time. I am a very dedicated parent and work with my daughter from an empathetic and respectful place. My daughter is strong willed and I believe it is healthy for emotions to be expressed in our household and we hold space for that. All is accepting with loving limits. This is a new paradigm of parenting for myself (which I am learning consistently) and I would want a workaway individual to engage with Mo in the same way, and to hold healthy warm boundaries with Mo. This style of parenting that I am trying to adapt is aware gentle parenting.

We love our new 3 bedroom home, with a garden and beautiful views in an estate of 7 houses, 10 min walk to Ennistymo town so everything you need is on your doorstep. We like to eat clean and good food (most of the time) and love being out in nature for walks on the beach or in the gorgeous forest, located in the town. I will have availability of a car (my car) for a workaway person and it would be a bonus if they held a driver license

The area is highly populated with musicians, artists, writers…. There is surfing, climbing, hiking, historical and folklore rich walks. The burren is a unique landscape both historically and geographically; where geologists, archaeologists and botanists come from all over the world to explore and study.
There are yoga retreat centres, endless wellness workshops, learn to build your own home centre, a national tree planting charity, alternative education institutions; forest school, Steiner, democratic school. The community here range from young to old, local to international and very inclusive. There is various types of music played in different venues many nights of the week.

We are close to Galway and Limerick city.

I also travel to kildare at least once/twice a month which is 20 mins by train to Dublin City Centre, there is an opportunity to explore the east coast also.

The help I will need in our home, is spending time with Mo whilst I am working. doing crafts, cooking, baking, painting or taking walks with Mo on her bike/scooter. I will need help with general household duties, shopping, cleaning, meal prep, cooking etc. and babysitting, so I also have time to do the crafts, baking painting with Mo

As I work for myself, these are the obvious things that I would need help with, I would hope that the person we take into our home, can become apart of the family and there is a sense of togetherness within this journey together.

I also feel boundaries are important and that we can have very open communication on a regular basis to check in for all parties , how this is working. It is essential that we all feel are needs are being met in the home and on your journey as a work away.
