Description
Hello! We are Pascal and Kathi, a couple living in Berlin where we work as project managers in the non-profit sector. In our free time, we like to be outside in nature - be it for a run or a swim, a walk including a picnic or long cycling trips. In addition, we are both very active on the platform of Foodsharing - a network that saves and shares food from supermarkets and bakeries that otherwise would be thrown away. Also we like to travel - preferably by train/ bike connecting with people through platforms like Warmshowers, Wwoofing or Trustroots.
Berlin is a city full of opportunities. Often it is portrayed as a very lively, cultural, international and busy city - yet is has also many green areas to offer! One of that are the various garden plots of which we own one since summer 2023.
Our little garden has an area of about 400m² with fruit trees, raised garden beds where we grow our vegetables, many roses as well as a small house (including a kitchen, toilet with running water and a sofa-bed) - a paradise about 3km from our flat. It is a great place to enjoy and observe nature, learn about growing vegetables and fruits, try out handicraft/ maintenance skills and still be not too far from lively Berlin if you'd like to!
As we both can't be as often as we would like to in the garden to do all the little and bigger work, nor we always have the necessary skills (especially when it comes to crafts/ work in the house), we appreciate any help and exchange as we see our garden project as a great mutual learning opportunity.
We are looking forward to hearing from you - feel free to contact us in German, English or French. :)Types of help and learning opportunities

We are happy to show you around, especially to some rather unknown parts of Berlin in its Southwest - also we might arrange some bikes for you to be more flexible and explore the area of Berlin and its sourrounding. We both also really enjoy cooking and eating vegan-vegetarian food and always love to exchange new recipes around that or show you how to preserve food (as jams, soups etc.).

Help
We are looking for workawayers that are able or willing to learn all the little and bigger work in a garden: from watering the plants, weeding the garden, cutting trees and bushes or plant and harvest vegetables. Here, we can already show you some things, yet we are always open to learn new things ourselves.
What would help us even more is everything connected to handicrafts: there are a few bigger projects in the garden that haven't been touched by us due to a lack of skills like building new raised garden beds, painting the house or setting up a new terrace.Languages

You can contact them directly for more information.Accommodation
There are basically two possibilities regarding your accomodation: either you can sleep on the sofa-bed in our shared living room in the flat or you can stay right in the garden house on the sofa-bed/ respectively directly in the garden if you bring a tent and like it even more close to nature. Both sleeping opportunities are fully equipped with bed-sheets, however we only have a shower in our flat, not in the garden.
We would offer you three meals a day (vegan-veggie, mostly organic) depending on our schedules we are happy to cook and eat together. What else ...
Berlin has a variety of activities to offer. If you like to do the rather classical Berlin activities and visit its sights, you can reach the city centre within 30min by train. At the same time, you can also visit Berlin's sourroundings, especially by bike we can recommend you various places and/ or you can go to the beautiful city of Potsdam (also within a 30min train ride).
