    Description

I am a film producer and working mum of two lovely girls living in rural Somerset near Glastonbury festival. My husband works away and I am film producer and over the next 6 months will be developing projects from home. I'd like to offer a cultural exchange to someone and they will get to spend time with me and my family. I'm especially looking for a volunteer to help me with school runs and bedtimes.

We're a bus ride away from Glastonbury town (and very near the festival), Shepton Mallet, Wells, Bristol and Bath if you're interested in exploring the South West.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We live in a lovely village near Glastonbury town and festival. Our lovely home is in a rural setting with a great view of Glastonbury Tor and ideal for those interested in nature, arts, music and ancient wisdom. There is a nearby bus stop which can get you to the local towns Glastonbury, Wells and Shepton Mallet and to the cities like Bath and Bristol which are both about an hour away. The local community is made up of farmers, hippies and creative types and it's a friendly place with a great food scene and it's easy to find live music if you want a night out.

    Help

The main time I need help is getting the girls up and off to school and then someone to play with them after school when I am still working - and to help me with dinner, bath and bedtime. They love art, cooking, music and nature

A large double bedroom looking out on to a beautiful garden. The bathroom is shared with the family.

The workawayer will eat with the family. My husband works away during the week so meals will mainly be with me and my two girls Wren and River. I cook most things from scratch - and we try to be as healthy as we can. If we are going out I will leave ingredients or something to warm up.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We're very near Glastonbury Town and an east walk to Glastonbury Tor and Chalice Wells Springs. There's lots of live music in Glastonbury and some lovely market towns (Bruton, Frome, Castle Cary, Shepton Mallet, Wells) to explore as well as cities like Bath and Bristol within an hour. It's a great place to walk, cycle and it's a very generous community with a big focus on sustainable living (I do my best but I'm not perfect!)
