Description
Our farm is a small footprint micro farm tucked away in the Boreal Forest of North Cariboo region British Columbia. We have a strong philosophy of working with the land rather than against it. As our little farm grows, we will incorporate regenerative and holistic methods that are in balance with the land as it originally stood. Many of our farm products incorporate forest foods and medicines as we honor the natural abundance that exists around us. We currently have sheep for milk wool and meat, a large family garden, chickens, goats, geese dogs cats and a horse. I also run a small cottage bakery from the farm making sourdough bread and pastries.
We are relatively new to farming and are learning as we go.
My Husband Marque and I live here with 2 of our adult daughters and ould love to host someone who is eager to learn with us and lend a hand as we grow our little farm.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Marque and I live with 2 of our young adult daughters on our little farm. Marque is a leather worker who loves to teach. I run a small cottage bakery making sourdough bread and pastries I also run fermentation workshops at our farm.
We live just outside of a small rural community in central British Columbia which has a substantial indigenous population and opportunities for learning there too. Our area was important during the gold rush and there is still an active gold prospecting community out here too.
We love learning about the world and different cultures and see hosting as a beautiful way to learn about places we may not have an opportunity to travel to.
Our family speaks English Spanish and French.Help
We would love to host someone who could be a helping pair of hands around the house and farm. Although the workload is not heavy there is always something to do, be it gardening, preserving our harvest, caring for the animals, building projects household chores or helping with the bakery. Marque is also a talented leather worker and there would be an opportunity to learn some skills there if it is on interest. This farm stay would be idea for someone looking to exchange ideas, and loves adventures and knows how to laugh. Our family speaks English, Spanish and French.
