    Description

    Hi,

    We are Yvonne & Danny.
Our lush home is located on the beautiful central Gold Coast, in a suburb called Carrara. We are close to the theme parks, the beach, and our stunning national parks. We have a large, modern 4 bedroom home, and beautiful gardens.

Yvonne was born and raised in Germany, but moved to Australia 19 years ago. She works full-time in corporate IT, is a meditation teacher, is currently completing a Grad Dipl in AI, and performs as an actor in local theatre productions. She works from home most days with one day per week in the office. Danny grew up in Canberra and has been living in the Northern Rivers/Gold Coast area for 20+ years. He is a carpenter / stair installer and usually out and about from early morning until the afternoon.

Leon, our small dog, is almost 17 years old , blind, and deaf. Mostly a professional sleeper, but he loves cuddles and would spend all day on a lap getting belly rubs if he could. Our second dog, Czar is 5 years old, she suffers from high-level anxiety, and is pretty psycho, but once she knows you, you'll be her best friend. Their love language is FOOD so be sure to have snacks on you :)

Zac, our housemate, is an easy-going dude in his late-30s. He's a swimming teacher/child educator. Zac spends a lot of time at his girlfriend's house and usually comes home from Friday evenings until Sunday mornings.

On the property, we have a self-contained studio which is currently rented to Julie, a Nanny. We often have 'family' dinners where we all get together for a healthy feast, conversations, and games.

In our free time, we love doing yoga, travelling, hiking, camping, healthy food, going to the beach, cultural events such as exhibitions, concerts, theatre, and shows, or simply relaxing. We enjoy welcoming people to our house as long as they are respectful, friendly, and willing to contribute to the household.

Having lived in the area (between Northern Rivers and Brisbane) for many years, we can provide you with lots of great insider tips. We offer to take you to secluded beaches, waterfalls, swimming holes, markets, and hiking trails to see kangaroos and koalas, among other attractions. Yvonne speaks fluent German and English, and is able to teach you meditation and yoga. She also sings in a choir and performs with local theatre companies. Danny is a great teacher in all things plants & building.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You have your own room with a double bed, desk, built-in wardrobe, and ceiling fan. The bathroom/toilet is shared with Zac, and you have access to the rest of the house. Our kitchen is the heart of our house, where we all gather, socialise, and share delicious, fresh food. We also have a media room with a big-screen TV and fireplace, as well as an outdoor fireplace and, of course, the (currently under construction - pool) & gardens. We can accommodate up to two workawayers; however, you would have to share the double bed, or we can provide a self-inflating camping mattress.
