We are an Australian couple who have opened a boutique hotel in the centre of the historic Galle Fort in Sri Lanka since January 2017. The hotel has 6 rooms. we are expanding our operation to the beach in one of the great hotspots for surfing and music just 40 minutes down south. We really enjoy meeting new people and love the community concept in Galle Fort. We are proud to offer accommodation in a such an historical treasure. The Fort is a great place to wander and explore, with many colonial Dutch and British era buildings renovated and converted into boutique souvenir shops and restaurants. A walk along the rampart walls at sunset with stunning views of the Indian Ocean is a must.

You will fall in love with Sri Lanka, the people and the produce, you can learn Silanese and get an indepth knowledge of this beautiful country. We would be happy to teach you all that we can about Sri Lanka, and think that being able to spend quality time in this country will be more fun and eyeopening than what you could read in a guidebook.

Spending your off time surfing and exploring this amazing country. It's easy to spend a week or more in Galle exploring the streets and meeting the local inhabitants. There is a vast array of restaurants and shops. The ramparts are ideal for an evening stroll or jog. It's possible to swim or snorkel in the Fort. There is a great beach nearby for learning to surf - medium size waves and free from coral or rock. The hostel is also located close to the main bus station.
