We are David and Asha, father and daughter and we live in an old but comfortable home about 5km from Perth in suburban Mt Hawthorn. I have been blessed to meet some truly wonderful people through this fantastic website, had awesome experiences and made good friends, but I have not had any guests since the virus hit. But I am looking to take in guests again from about May or June.
I would like to swap board for housework and yard work, perhaps some light home maintenance.
We have wifi, air conditioning, a swimming pool, Netflix and a pool table. We do not have a dishwasher or a clothes dryer. We are a queer-friendly household.

I have lived in Perth all my life and will gladly give you the best of my local knowledge. My daughters are Aboriginal through their mother. I am white 6th generation Australian through my Mum and a blend of southern Asian and northern European through my Dad. I love the cultural exchange that happens with workawayers. My dog comes from a rescue shelter and has trust and commitment issues. She thrives on meeting new people who are willing to love her.
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

*️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️ Laundry and ironing
*️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️ Basic gardening
*️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️ Love, feed and walk the dog
I love meeting new people, finding good, warm, open conversation with interesting thinkers and broad-minded people. If you like to sit around in the evening with a drink or a cup of tea, we are already friends. If you are a native French speaker please insist on speaking some French with me every day.
We are both vaccinated and I will ask you to show me your vaccination certificate before you get here.
This host offers a language exchange
Asha and I both have very basic French but would love to have someone to speak it with.
I offer my guests two weeks' stay. We can extend that depending on my work commitments and how well things are going.
We live in a not-too-big 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house in a safe neighbourhood, close to the city. There is public transport nearby and excellent bike paths into the city and to surrounding parklands. I have bikes you can borrow.
You will have your own bedroom, if you are a couple you will share that bedroom and bed. We have wifi, air-conditioning, a swimming pool and Netflix.
I will make sure there is plenty of what you like to eat.
This is a great neighbourhood. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs within a km or two. Lots of guests have found part time work nearby. There are wildlife reserves and parks nearby and a bike path down the road. We are a short bike ride from Perth city.
