    Description

Welcome to our wonderful Hostel on one of the fascinating islands of the Paraná Delta, only two kilometers away from the Paraná River, the second largest river in the world.

This place is the home of thousands of different species (more than 300 different birds) and is one of the largest natural ecological reserves in South América (221km2). Our main goal is to bring everyone closer to the Delta and make them feel the fascinating energy it has. It is the unique and best attraction Buenos Aires has to offer. However, it has not been developed for tourism because it is not easily accessible - until now. Living in the Delta has been our passion for more than 25 years, so we think it is time to show it to the world.

The island where the Hostel is held is about 10km2 and there are many paths built to travel through the island, that go through the middle of the jungle (there are 3 paths that take 1 hour, 2 hours and half an hour walking distance). The main path has a lovely viewpoint and leads to a private natural lagoon, where you can practice stand up paddling, swimming or just have a nice cup of coffee and read a book!

But there are also many other activities to do. We have 3 motorboats to travel through the islands and delta. One of them issued to do wakeboarding, wake surfing, foiling and waterskiing. We have a wakeboarding instructor available, too! There is also a 26 feet sailing boat to travel through the Delta with the power of the wind. There are kayaks and stand up paddle boards available to travel across the Delta and access virgin places where no motorboat can go.

The hostel is currently closed and there are no guests. The current tasks therefore include preparatory measures for the main season, such as sanding and painting railings, simple gardening, tidying up and designing dormitories and common rooms, marketing and much more. We are always happy to receive ideas on how we can make this wonderful place even more adorable. In your free time, you can use the facilities the hostel has to offer and go paddling or wakeboarding, for example.

The activities during the main saison that need to be covered are greeting guests that arrive to the hostel in the hours that we are not present (the boat-buses work from 8am till 10pm, so it won't be late hours). Being aware and noticing if there in any malfunction eg. pump or solar energy is not working or something broke. There is a lot of vegetation but we have a gardener that comes every week to clean the area so that no heavy work is needed, only taking care of the small organic vegetable garden. Hostel main services as replacing toilet paper, shampoo, soap, putting the dirty blankets in the washing machine when needed and cleaning rooms when guests leave.

    Accommodation

The Hostel has a current capacity of 16 beds without taking into consideration the tent options. All rooms are equipped with an own bathroom and air conditioning and heating.

There is also land electricity and 8 solar panels that provide constant energy to the Hostel. There are containers with
over 5000 liters of water and three
pumps that take water directly from the river. There is a fully equipped kitchen and room for all the guests.

It also has an Argentinian grill for
barbecues and a mud oven for pizzas
    and other larger meals.

We recently started an organic garden, so free organic vegetables will be available depending on the season. Therefore, we can offer a varied menu according to the taste of the workawayer. As we like to share more of the Argentinian traditions, we regularly do Argentinian Asados (BBQ) with a glass of red wine and the lovely view of the Rivera.

We have a vast library with over 1000 books to read. However, 70% of them are in Spanish, the rest in English. We also count with Wifi in all the 4 houses and yard. You will be provided with your own room, single bed and bathroom, of course with air conditioning too. There is also a washing machine that you can use.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Buenos Aires is one of the largest cosmopolitan cities with more than 12 million inhabitants and is only 2.5 hours away. There are public boats going regularly from Tigre to the island and back and it costs only 1 dollar each way. In Tigre you can easily take the train to the city.
There is always something to do in Buenos Aires, cultural activities, craft markets, parties and much more. On your days off, you can always take a trip into the city.

The hostel is the antithesis of the never sleeping city. A quiet, cosy place to rest, meditate and be in touch with nature. You can enjoy the freedom of the delta without having to give up the proximity to the city.

We love welcoming new people from all different cultural backgrounds and hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoy your presence.
