    Description

We are a hybrid team made up of both local residents and members of the Malagasy diaspora abroad, united by a shared mission: to preserve Malagasy cultural heritage in the Maroantsetra district.
Our organization has representatives based in Antananarivo who facilitate the reception and orientation of international visitors upon their arrival at the airport.
On-site, in Maroantsetra, an operational team coordinates field missions, including:

    local transportation,
    accommodation,
    welcoming volunteers and visitors,

and managing all general, technical, and technological logistics (digital tools, documentation, internet connection, audiovisual equipment, etc.) to ensure the smooth running of activities.
    Team Distribution and Status
Our team currently consists of 12 active members, distributed as follows:
3 members in Antananarivo, responsible for visitor reception, national logistics coordination, and partner relations.
5 local members in Maroantsetra, managing field coordination, community relations, logistics, and documentation.
4 members of the Malagasy diaspora (based in France, Dubai, Germany, and Switzerland) who contribute remotely to communication, strategy, content development, and partnership building.

    How We Work

We are currently in a pilot phase, and the team is made up entirely of unpaid volunteers. The project is self-funded through member contributions, driven by collaboration, sharing, and strong commitment.

This flexible structure allows us to test and refine an innovative model of immersive cultural tourism, focused on respecting local knowledge and communities.

We invite volunteers to join this human adventure as co-creators, helping to build together a sustainable and meaningful project.
    🏡 Accommodation & Meals
Accommodation and meals are arranged based on the level of immersion desired by each volunteer.
We usually offer two main options:
a hybrid house (modern comfort combined with traditional elements),or a fully traditional house, for a more authentic experience.
These options are discussed with each volunteer in advance, in order to ensure a respectful, comfortable, and enriching immersion.
    Our Concrete Mission:
    - 📹 Document traditional knowledge (stories, music, crafts)
    - 🏠 Develop respectful community-based tourism
    - 💻 Create a digital sharing platform
    Your Participation:
1️⃣ Documentation assistance (photos, videos, recordings)
2️⃣ Support for community activities (welcoming visitors, workshops)
3️⃣ Cultural mediation (language exchanges, creating educational materials)
    What We Provide:
    - 🛖 Homestay or simple accommodation
    - 🍲 Shared local meals
    - 🌟 Authentic immersion in Malagasy culture
    Ideal Volunteer Profile:
    - Minimum stay: 3 weeks
    - Respect for local traditions
    - Enthusiasm for authentic cultural exchanges
    How to Apply:
    Send us:
    1. Your motivation (5-10 lines)
    2. Available dates
    3. A skill you'd like to share.
