Description
I´m Lucila a 33 year old college graduate in journalism. I have lived in this farm practically my whole life but my family is from the USA. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish.
Although I studied journalism and photography, nowadays I feel more connected to nature and I want to focus my life in finding ways of sustainable living. These days my work consists on making the property a self sufficient farm using Eco Friendly and biodynamic methods and always respecting the environment we live in.
Im also a Yoga teacher, I have 500 h of Yoga training, and I teach weekly clases as well as organize retreats at the property were I sometimes teach classes or collaborate with other teschers and usually do the cookikg.
I love cooking vegetarian meals with veggies from the garden if possible. I enjoy very much meeting new people and learning from their cultures. And mostly I love taking care of my animals: Lobo, Jara, Nala and Otto the dogs. Marley, Pipo, and Canelo the cats. Donkey, the donkey and Celestina the pony- horse. We also have chickens that give us delicious fresh eggs!

Help
My partner and I are expecting a baby for the end of May, so I Will be on maternity leave and he Will be on paternity leave, My mother Julie lives at the property and we have someone Who works here all Year around but they cant manage to do everything alone, so we need help almost with everything around here, but specifically I am looking for people who would like to help out with the different Projects going on at the property: the organic garden, the flower gardens, the compost, caring for the animals (chickens, horse, donkey, dogs and cats). As well as helping out with daily cleaning and cooking tasks.
Also if you are a Yoga or meditation teacher you might want to teach some clases to gain some experience and substitute me while Im on maternity leave.
Sounds like alot of work, but we would make sure you work 4-5 hours 5 days a week. So that you have time to rest by the pool or explore this beautiful area thats very close to the city of Madrid.

I have been an English teacher and would be happy to teach others English and Spanish.
Accommodation
I have individual rooms for volunteers and some that could be shared.
A private kitchen and, a private bathroom or shared depending on the space and private living room as well as many indoor common spaces. There are many outdoors spaces that we can share but also many places to find some privacy. The property has 13 hectares, so there is not a problem if you need to get a little lost in your thoughts, mediate or just walk around!
There is also a swimming pool and a space where we have weekly Yoga Classes where you could practice Yoga, sports, have some silent for creativity, etc.
What else ...
The farm is part of the town of El Escorial. It is 30 minutes away from the train Station and Bus station that has regular transportation services to Madrid, a very lively city.
The town of San Lorenzo, is only 40 minutes walking distance or 15 minutes by bike, it is a touristy and lively town with many bars, cafés and cultural and historical spots.
The property is in the middle of nature and there are as many hikes as you can think of to beautiful sights. Very close by is the Historical spot La Silla de Felipe II, the views there are breathtaking and watching sunrises, moonrise, and sunset is a must when you are here. La Silla de Felipe II is as well one of the most famous bouldering hiking sights in Spain, so if you are into hiking like many people here then this is the place for you. Only 5 minutes from the property you have plenty of rocks to climb on!
And not so far away from El Escorial there are rivers and lakes to go and refresh from the heat of the summer.
Also, it is possible to go visit the beautiful cities of Segovia, Toledo and Avila very close by.
