    Description

    Hey Cool Travelers,

We’re based in Juara Village, Tioman Island, Malaysia – one of the most beautiful, peaceful beaches in Southeast Asia, far from the crowds.

We're in the process of restoring a traditional villager’s house, transforming it into a vibrant arts and culture hub. We'll be offering local food and drinks, souvenirs, and organizing classes such as yoga, dance, painting, and cooking traditional dishes.

We’re looking for passionate volunteers with skills or an interest in cooking, painting, simple construction, arts and culture, music performance, and yoga. If you’re also someone who enjoys hanging out, socializing with both locals and fellow travelers, this could be the perfect fit for you!

If you play guitar or any other instrument, we’d love for you to perform or even host a basic music class for our guests. It’s all about creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere for everyone.

We’d also love volunteers to help run yoga or dance classes by the beach. If you have time to organize games for local kids, it’d be amazing for them to connect with foreign visitors and pick up a few words in another language.

In exchange for helping out with various tasks like cleaning, cooking, or preparing drinks for our guests, you’ll get to enjoy the laid-back island life.

We welcome any artistic skills—whether it’s painting, sculpture, macramé, or anything creative—to enhance our arts and culture house.

We also have snorkeling gear and Stand-Up Paddleboards available for volunteers during your free time, so you can explore the stunning marine life.

Accommodation is in a beachfront mixed dorm with a sea view. Our minimum stay is 4 weeks.

Right now, we have two permanent local workers and two part-time staff who help with general tasks like painting, simple construction, and serving guests.

If this sounds like something you'd love to be part of, we’d be excited to welcome you to our island family!

We'll take our volunteers to our chill house, where we’ll introduce you to some local friends we hang out with almost every day. They’re great people, and we’re sure you’ll love them!

Most of them are surfers, boat captains, diving instructors, and local tour guides.

As a volunteer, you'll have the chance to learn a ton from them—whether it's about the ocean, jungle, local culture, our island language, or even sharing meals and cooking together.

We truly appreciate kind-hearted, honest travelers with a spirit of adventure who are willing to lend a hand with simple construction tasks as we restore our Arts and Culture House.

If you have experience or skills in music performance, we would be thrilled to have you teach basic music classes and even perform live for us and our guests, just for fun!

We also welcome volunteers with expertise in yoga, dance, martial arts, or any form of physical performance to help organize classes for our guests and the local children in the village.

Volunteers who are passionate about preparing local food and drinks, and who enjoy a good party, are especially welcomed—you're exactly the kind of person we'd love to have around!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

In our village, Juara on Tioman Island, you'll find plenty of water activities to enjoy, like snorkeling, skin diving, scuba diving, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, boat trips around the island, swimming in the lagoon, and surfing when the waves are up.

You can also go jungle trekking to a waterfall or hike to the summit for amazing views. If we have the time, we occasionally head out for camping in the mountains or at a private bay.

Our village is home to a turtle sanctuary, where you can even help release baby turtles into the ocean.

Beyond all that, the island itself is stunning, with great vibes and a positive energy that’ll make you feel at home. You can also set up your own activities like yoga, workout sessions, or simply chill by the beach or in the jungle.

We’re pretty sure you’ll fall in love with it here—and leaving might be harder than you think!
