  • Description

    Description

This is a small but growing educational center/Intentional Community for sustainable living. We produce most of our own power from water and the sun. We teach self-reliant skills such as gardening, aquaculture, building skills, wildcrafting, and crafts. Paul welcomes folks from around the world. My goals are to help preserve the cultural and natural history of our area in the Appalachian Mountains. I promote back-to-basics living which relies on local resources to survive lightly on the land. I am currently trying to establish an Intentional Community but will accept short-term work/stay volunteers. Lots of on-going projects including an earth bermed house. Learn to mill wood and build! I look forward to meeting and working with you!

We are developing infrastructure (buildings, gardens, water systems, alternative energy systems: solar and hydro) so I can provide more opportunities for folks who come here. You would be involved in any number of projects of this nature as well as day to day tasks or chores.
