A man stands in a sunny garden, smiling and holding a large leafy branch with small orange buds. Lush green plants surround him under blue skies.
A peaceful grassy field features a large white tent, a small cottage covered in vines, scattered trees, and several additional houses visible in the background.
Inside a spacious tent, a camping chair and table are set up on a mat. Sunlight streams in, grass visible outside, creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere.
Six people play beach volleyball on a sandy court surrounded by grass and trees, under a clear evening sky with soft pastel colors during sunset.
A hand gently holds a cluster of bright red currants on the branch. Lush green leaves surround the ripe, glossy berries in a natural garden setting.

    Description

Together with my father we run a small fruit and ornamental flower farm. The last five years, since I returned back home from living and working abroad, I transformed the farm from a conventional farm into a partly organic farm. I have worked on several continents, but the farm is what i now can call my permanent home. And I have found a partner who also enjoys living on the farm. I love nature and water. The village Wolphaartsdijk and more places in the province Zeeland have all those things. I really enjoyed picking fruits in my summer holidays as a teenager and working with people from all over the place. That's why I started growing fruits as well, and I work together with the grower where I worked as a teenager. How cool is that! :). The main things I grow are red currants which are mainly picked in Junen and rosehips in septemer and oktober. The coming years I hope to expand in different fruits and flowers.

My father is a retired agricultural teacher with a huge interest in the history of the area. He can teach you if you are keen all about agriculture and the erea. I am a young sportive guy who grew up in this area, so I know what things you can do in the area to have a nice working holiday. I travelled and worked in several countries on different continents and found that was the best way to explore a country and culture. With all the farm work it's more difficult to travel, but therefore I like it when I can bring different cultures and people to me.

    Help

The red currants I grow are harvested mainly in june. In four weeks the berries have to be picked, sorted and packed. I can use some extra hands to help with this taks. It's light work, I have done it as a teenager for many years. But it helps if you have quick hands to pick and are a bit precise.
I will pay the dutch minimum bruto salary, according to the dutch regulations and effort (). Holiday pay adds on top of this.
Good quality work is worth a good wage according to my opinion.

I have a folding trailer with two beds. And I have a big tent with two beds. All the materials for the beds are there as well. Shower, toilet and kitchen are in the nearby mobile home. And you can also use the kitchen, shower and toilet in the house. There are plenty of outside places around the farm to chill and relax. Inside the barn I have also made a place to chill.

In your spare time I advice you to go to the nearby lake (1 km). It's perfect for swimming and water sports. The nearest city Goes is 7 km, which is good to do on the bikes I can provide you. From there you can take the train if you like if you want to explore more of the Netherlands.
