HI!
We are three girls: mum Irene, 11-year-old Isabel and 8-year-old Luna. We live in Tuscany, in the beautiful city of Lucca. We have an apartment with a garden where 5 turtles live and hills around it.
Isabel and Luna are in fifth and third grade. They are joyful, creative, curious little girls and are always open to new opportunities and to welcome new people into the house. They are bilingual and speak Italian and English perfectly.
In our spare time we like doing creative work, cooking and reading. When the weather is good, we like going to the river in Lucca or to the beach, going for an ice cream in the historic center of Lucca... These and many other activities decribe our daily life.

Siamo tre ragazze: mamma Irene, Isabel di 11 anni e Luna di 8 anni. Viviamo in Toscana, nella bellissima città di Lucca. Abbiamo un appartamento con giardino dove vivono 5 tartarughe e colline intorno.
Isabel e Luna frequentano la quinta e terza elementare. Sono bambine gioiose, creative, curiose e sempre aperte a nuovi stimoli e a accogliere nuove persone in casa. Sono bilingue e parlano perfettamente l'italiano e l'inglese.
Nel tempo libero ci piace fare lavoretti creativi, cucinare e leggere. Quando la stagione ce lo permette ci piace andare al fiume di Lucca, andare al mare andare a prendere il gelato nel centro storico di Lucca o andare in piscina... Queste e tante altre attività caratterizzano la nostra vita quotidiana.

Nel 2017 abbiamo avuto una workawayer in famiglia proveniente dal Messico. E' stata con noi per un periodo abbastanza lungo da poter diventare parte integrante della famiglia. Diana è tornata a trovarci negli anni per vacanze estive e anche per passare un Natale con noi! L'amicizia che si è instaurata tra noi e tra lei e le bambine è un dono prezioso di questa rete internazionale! Lei, quando era con noi ha potuto visitare molte destinazioni italiane e godere della calda ma bellissima estate italiana.
Siamo persone decisamente "easy going", le nostre aspettative riguardano soprattutto il mutuo rispetto per una convivenza serena. Nel caso questo aspetto fondamentale venisse a mancare da una delle due parti, è necessario parlarsi apertamente e raggiungere una soluzione.
In 2017 we had a workaway in the family from Mexico. She has been with us long enough to become an integral part of the family. Diana has come back to visit us over the years for summer holidays and also to spend a Christmas with us! The friendship that has developed between us and between her and the girls is a precious gift from this international network! When she was with us, she was able to visit many Italian destinations and enjoy the hot but beautiful Italian summer.
We are definitely "easy going" people, our expectations mainly concern mutual respect for a peaceful coliving. If this fundamental aspect is missing from one of the two parties, it is necessary to speak openly and reach a solution.

Help
We are looking for a person who spends a few hours a day with the girls to carry out different kinds of activities, including new proposals! If the workawayer speaks a language other than ours, we would be very happy to learn it!
Stiamo cercando una persona che passi qualche ora al giorno con le bambine per svolgere attività di diverso genere, anche nuove proposte! Se la workawayer parla una lingua diversa dalla nostra, saremmo molto felice di felici di impararla!

Accommodation
Our apartment has: three bedrooms, a large living room, a large kitchen and a bathroom to share. The workawayer will sleep in one of the bedrooms on her own.
In the summer the rhythms are much more relaxed than in the winter so the alarm doesn't ring unless we have special plans for the day! When we wake up we have breakfast with yoghurt, fruit, cereals or eggs and vegetable milk (or cow's milk if requested). On Sundays we like to make pancakes😋!! As a habit we sit down at the table again for lunch and dinner. Mom Irene often cooks in collaboration with the girls and our beloved cooking machine!
Il nostro appartamento ha: tre camere da letto, un grande salotto, una grande cucina e un bagno da condividere. La workawayer dormirà in una delle camere da letto da sola.
D'estate i ritmi sono molto più rilassati rispetto all'inverno perciò non suona la sveglia a meno che non si abbiano programmi particolari per la giornata! Al risveglio facciamo una colazione a base di yogurt, frutta, cereali o uova con latte vegetale (o di mucca se richiesto). La domenica ci piace fare i pancake😋!! Come abitudine ci sediamo di nuovo a tavola per il pranzo e per la cena. Mamma Irene cucina spesso in collaborazione delle bambine e del nostro amato Robot da cucina!

Viviamo in una zona ben collegata con il centro città e con la stazione principale dei treni. Lucca è una splendida città medievale e dalla stazione ci sono treni per raggiungere tutte le principali destinazioni di interesse storico- culturale della Toscana (Firenze, Pisa, Siena, Volterra ecc) e d'Italia. Intorno a Lucca e in tutta la Toscana sono presenti anche numerosi parchi naturali di rinomata bellezza. Ci sono inoltre delle bellissime spiagge facilmente raggiungibili, incluse le famose 5 Terre della Liguria.
We live in an area well connected to the city center and the main train station. Lucca is a splendid medieval city and from the station there are trains to reach all the main destinations of historical and cultural interest in Tuscany (Florence, Pisa, Siena, Volterra, etc.) and in Italy. Around Lucca and throughout Tuscany there are also many natural parks of renowned beauty. There are also some beautiful beaches within easy reach, including the famous 5 Terre of Liguria.
