    The project is located approximately 2 hours from Puyo by bus. From Puyo take the transport companies: CENTINELA del ORIENTE or Rio Tigre, through the Mariscal de Puyo market in the direction of Villano to the Chuya Yaku community.
    The people of the community weave typical elaborate handicrafts that include ceramics, necklaces, bracelets and earrings with seeds and other local materials. These products are sold locally.
    Chuya Yaku offers a rich diversity in the flora and fauna of the Amazon. It is a tourist place for those who want to be part of nature and enjoy the tranquility of the jungle.

    The province of Pastaza is home to several indigenous or ancestral nationalities: SHUAR, KICHWA, WAORANI, ANDWA, SHIWIAR, ACHWARS and SAPARA, each with their own customs and histories. And the population of the Chuya Yaku community is part of the original Kichwa nationality.

    El proyecto esta ubicado aproximadamente a 2 horas de Puyo en autobús. Desde puyo tome las companias de transporte: CENTINELA del ORIENTE o la Rio Tigre, por el mercado mariscal de puyo con direccion via villano hasta la comunidad de Chuya Yaku.
    La gente de la comunidad tejen artesanías típicas elaboradas que incluyen cerámica, collares, pulseras y aretes con semillas y otros materiales locales. Estos productos se venden localmente.
    Chuya Yaku ofrece una rica diversidad en la flora y fauna de la Amazonía. Es un lugar turístico para aquellos que quieren ser parte de la naturaleza y disfrutar de la tranquilidad de la selva.

    La privincia de Pastaza es el hogar de varias nacionalidades indígenas o ancestrales: SHUAR, KICHWA, WAORANI, ANDWA, SHIWIAR, ACHWARS y SAPARA, cada una con sus propias costumbres e historias. Y la población de la comunidad chuya yaku es parte de la nacionalidad originarias kichwas.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Volunteers can visit indigenous Kichwa communities, swim in the river, hike in caves, visit Puyo, hike to the jungle with people from the community, and enjoy the beautiful and relaxing scenery.
    The main benefit is to experience an indigenous culture, the daily life of each of the locals, learn the Kichwa and Shuar language, learn to cook local food, gain experience in the field of planting the products of the area, experience new customs, dance and cultural music coexist with the forest.

    Los voluntarios pueden visitar comunidades indígenas kichwas, nadar en el río, caminar en cavernas, visitar Puyo, caminar a la selva con personas de la comunidad y disfrutar del hermoso y relajante paisaje.
    El principal beneficio es experimentar una cultura indígena, la vida cotidiana de cada uno de los lugareños, aprender el idioma kichwa y shuar,aprender a cocinar comida local, adquirir experiencia en el campo de la siembra de los productos del área, experimentar nuevos costumbres, danza y musica cultural convivir con el bosque.

    We need people (men and women, students, researchers, ecologists) who want to collaborate in the project;

    * Support in the teaching of the English language or others with the children and adults of the tourism project in the community.
    * Support with tourism vision of the sector (promotion)
    * Support with computers to the members of the tourism entrepreneurship project.

    15 hours/week- Monday to Friday. In the afternoon, the volunteers are free: walking, swimming in the river, practicing sports, visiting tourist places (waterfalls, caves, ecological trails, etc.).

    Saturdays and Sundays are free, volunteers can go out to the city of Puyo to walk or shop for the week according to the coordination. Or also visit the families of the community, participate in the elaboration of artezanias.

    Necesitamos personas (hombres y mujeres, estudiantes, investigadores, ecologistas) que quieran colaborar en el proyecto;

    *Apoyo en la enseñanza del idioma ingles u otros con los niños y adultos del proyecto de turismo en la comunidad.
    *Apoyo con vision turistica del sector( promocion)
    *Apoyo con ordenadores a los integrantes del proyecto de emprendimiento turistico.

    al día de lunes a viernes. Por la tarde, los voluntarios son libres: caminar, nadar en el río, practicar deportes, visitar lugares turísticos (cascadas, cuevas, senderos ecológicos, etc.).

    Los sábados y domingos son libres los voluntarios pueden salir a la ciudad de puyo a pasear o hacer compras para la semana de acuerdo a la cordinacion. O tambien visitar las familias de la comunidad, participar en la elaboracion de artezanias.

    Los voluntarios se alojan en una casa de familia indigena de 8 personas la construccion es de madera y casa cabaña. Podran compartir la habitacion con un compañero o compañera e individual. Se ofrece unas camas cómodas habitación individual o compartido.
    *Traer carpas y mosquiteros personales es muy importante, para salir los fines de semana a la selva.
    Es muy importante tener en cuenta que el proyecto no maneja fondos económicos por lo que no podemos incluir alimentación y es por eso que se recomienda traer sus propios alimentos o el aporte maximo de 5.00usd por persona para comprar alimento necesario para el mismo voluntario. Hay un fogón con leña para cocinar y cocina con gas donde compartiran con toda la familia.
    Limpieza y aseo con agua potable. Hay electricidad disponible en el proyecto.
    El baño es ecologico.

    The volunteers stay in an indigenous family house of 8 people, the construction is made of wood and a cabin house. They can share the room with a partner and individual. It offers a comfortable single or shared room beds.
    * Bringing tents and personal mosquito nets is very important, to go out to the jungle on weekends.
    It is very important to take into account that the project does not handle economic funds, so we cannot include food and that is why it is recommended to bring your own food or the maximum contribution of 5.00usd per person to buy food necessary for the same volunteer. There is a fireplace with wood for cooking and a gas stove where you will share with the whole family.
    Cleaning and toilet with drinking water. Electricity is available in the project.
    The bathroom is ecological.
