Description
We are looking for a couple or 2 friends who would like to come and stay with us for a couple of weeks. I can currently only offer accommodation for 1.5 hours of help a day. I'm a solo Mum, with 2 kids and running a small business, doing Equine Assisted Learning with our small herd of 3 horses. We live on a beautiful property in the table lands of far north Queensland, Australia with amazing nature, Horses and a dam. The beaches and Cairns are only 40 minutes drive from here. Kuranda 10 minutes away.

Travellers can learn about the locals and country life here. we have beautiful markets nearby and amazing nature. I'm happy to chat about any interest, help with learning English. We also have all sorts of wild life on the property often, wallabies, monitor lizard, birds like black and white cockatoos, parrots, laughing kookaburras.

Help
I'm a solo mum, 2 little children, our dog, horses, chicken and lizard. We live in North Queensland Australia on a big property with very beautiful bush nature and Horse Paddocks. We need help with the kids, one is homeschooled, help with the horses (feeding, grooming, cleaning paddocks) and also a little help in the gardens and cleaning in and around the house.
We have a lovely outdoor area with a great view, great spot to do yoga or rest and read. You will see wallabies and kookaburras guaranteed.
I have an Equine Assisted Learning business, where the horses help and heal people. For example I help adults to get on top of their lifes again, or I help children with autism or behavioural issues or help anyone through difficult times. I also teach leadership with help of the horses or meditation. I also offer rebirthing breathwork.
In saying that, the work we need help with, is not business related, as it's all confidential with the clients. I love sharing my knowledge still, but our workawayers will be helping with our gardens, family life and animals.
We are a friendly family who love great conversations and are interested in many many things. We like to be busy, but enjoy life. We are not a party house. but happy to drink a wine on occasion and have a good chat with a view.
We do live quite isolated, your own car would give you a lot of freedom while living here. If you don't have one, that's o.k. we can some times take you to some nice places and show you the beautiful area we live in. I like to take my sons swimming or playing to places sometimes in the afternoons.
Horse riding is an option for any experienced horse riders in their spare time. We have 2 horses and a pony. We practice very gentle riding and horsemanship, where the horses are seen as the sentient beings they are. I prefer people that understand this way of thinking to ride my horses.
If you have experience with children and horses, that would be a great advantage, but not necessary.
We do NOT sign second year visa.
You are offered your own room with double bed or for friends we have 2 beds. We provide meals, cooking and cleaning is shared. Meals are mostly healthy, non-vegetarian, but are happy to provide vegetarian meals to the right applicant.
Often, especially with couples, we have visitors choose to just work 2 hours a day for only accommodation.
We are looking forward to hear from you :-)
At the moment we can only offer short term with us especially if you don't have your own car, but depending on the helper and what we got to do at the time we can extend the stay for longer then a week or two.
