Description
I am a single English woman living with two late teenage boys and an energetic dog. We live in the gorgeous town of Sarlat-la-Canéda in the valley of the Dordogne, SW France. We are all bilinguals but English is the predominant language at home. I am an estate agent in France and find myself very busy which is great. I am looking for some support with all the domestic things I have to do. The person I’m looking for must be happy and friendly but also autonomous and self-sufficient. They must be a confident driver.

Being English in France, this post could be interesting to a French person who wants to learn English but perhaps doesn’t want to go too far or for too long.
Or an international person who wants all the benefits of the location but not necessarily a language difference to deal with.
You will have plenty of time to yourself and I have many friends in the area who will have needs but it’s all fun in the sun. You will experience THE most beautiful part of France.

Help
I need help with domestic duties. I’m very busy in my job and love being a mum but I would like some quality of life so I don’t want to hand everything over just share the load. You must be able to drive as the main issues are shopping and a bit of taxiing the boys but also some dog walking which does require a short drive for a decent stretch of her legs. At home there’s a bit of cooking, cleaning and gardening - not much though. It would be great if someone was good at painting and light DIY as we might be able to get some of those projects I only seem to think about doing - done.

Accommodation
Private double bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space on the ground floor with a shared bathroom - only with me though and I’m very clean and respectful - hope you are too? The house is modern and easy to keep clean, the garden is 900m2.
There is a nice separate kitchen and spacious living/dining area. We have fibre and Netflix etc.
What else ...
You will have lots of spare time and I’m happy for you to relax around the house. Outside there is so much to do and see - please Google Sarlat and the valley of the chateaux, Perigord noir to give you an idea. There is no public transport system in the area but I have a spare car - VW golf. There are bicycles available and Sarlat itself is in walking distance. You can get to Bergerac & Bordeaux by train which might be a fun trip.
