I have worked in the UK as a manager in a not-for-profit organisation for many years, running community projects. I am a native English speaker and have a BA in English and an MA. In addition, I am a qualified English tutor (TEFL and CELTA) and have taught English to speakers of other languages (ESL) and worked in France as an 'au-pair' some years ago. More recently, I have worked as the sole Housekeeper on large, private country estates (25 acres plus) in the UK. Whilst I have a lifetime of work experience, I feel there is always more to be learnt!

I would like to take part in some short workaway experiences so that I can get to know a bit about your country and soak up the culture! I would prefer experiences with people who want to improve their English and I'm always happy to help around the house with cooking, cleaning, etc., and with children. As a fit and active person, I enjoy swimming, cycling, walking and ski-ing. I am a hard worker, organised and will do my best to fit in with your lifestyle and assist you where needed. I am quiet and not interested in partying, preferring to take long walks in the countryside. I am NOT a smoker. As a keen craftsperson (sewing and knitting), I could help you out with any repairs to soft furnishings/home decor and have experience of renovating houses. Having travelled to many different countries (lived and worked in a few of them!) I enjoy learning about different cultures.
