Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We live right on the beach in beautiful, north Connemara so we are surrounded on all sides by the ocean, the islands and amazing mountain ranges. It's absolutely perfect for anyone who loves being outdoors, in nature and especially for anyone who likes to be on the water or hill walking/hiking. It's worth noting we are quite remote. So defiantly suits people that are happy with birdsong and the sound of waves for company (as well as us) Our local towns have some fun nightlife etc but we don't have a busy community living close by etc.
My partner and I are both chefs so food, cooking, fishing, vegetable growing and so on are at the centre of everting we do. This would be an ideal place for anyone interested in the culinary side of things and especially for someone who is keen to learn more about kitchen gardening.
Finally, Cleggan (5 mins) and Clifden (15 mins) are two fantastic villages near by that are both buzzing with culture, music, an amazing new film society and thriving communities.

Help
We are looking for someone to come and help us with our kids, garden, and the general running of a busy fun house.
We hope to provide a warm, interesting, and comforting place, and to share our love of where we live, as well as food and cooking, while you are with us.
Our priority right now is looking for someone to help look after Lily, our little girl (4), from around 1–4 pm, Monday to Thursday. We might have a few more hours on one day and less on another depends on our own projects and work schedule.
Some Fridays and occasionally weekends we might need extra help with the kids or outdoors, but we will make sure you have days off to explore and relax. We are big advocates for a good work/life balance.
At this particular time it's important to us that you enjoy spending time with kids and like playing, maybe doing arts and crafts, but defiantly being outdoors.
This could suit someone who wants to do an online course or works online in the morning.
We might also be looking for help with some outdoor projects, including building a new chicken coop, rebuilding a greenhouse that was damaged in a storm earlier this year, and from early March onwards, helping us plant and maintain a small veggie garden we are making it up as we go along. We love to garden but don't have too much experience in this area.
We’re looking for an energetic, independent, and dynamic person (or couple) who wants to join in the fun of our life by the beach and be an active participant in everything we do. Absolutely, we love our chill time as much as the next person, but we always enjoy it so much more after a great day’s work and activity—whether that’s gardening/DIY or getting out into nature.
This would also be an excellent stay for a young couple travelling together.

Accommodation
Work aways would have their own private bedroom (double bed) and a shared bathroom.
Mealtimes and food are very much communal activities so be ready to help out with cooking, cleaning up and everything in between.
What else ...
So long as you have a valid EU driver's license you will be insured on our car and will have the full use of it during your time off.
Wesport (1hr) and Galway (1hr 15mins) are not far away and between them and the rest of Connemara there is a huge amount to do in the surrounding area. But don't stop there!
We live right beside jaspers parents they have two donkeys and tend to bees. there is an opportunity to get stuck in here too if that's of interest.
We are very happy to offer a weekly wage depending on experience and hours. Lets Chat! x
