    Description

Squamish family of four, plus pup and chickens in heart of outdoor adventure capital of Canada. We our passionate about growing our own food and relearning to harmonize with nature on our small scale urban farm. Depending on the year, we’re looking for p/t garden/landscape assistance, dog and chicken house caretaking, house project upgrades, or sometimes accompanying us to our remote coastal cabin to assist with the same types of upgrades in exchange for accommodation and use of amenities. Our Squamish home is located at the base of mountain bike trails, hikes, salmon spawning stream, walking distance to shops, bus stop to Whistler and Vancouver. We love meeting people and learning about the world!

Come explore the adventure capital of Canada cozying up to nature and our animals! Looking for trustworthy and tidy person or couple to care for our home, garden, greenhouse, dog and backyard flock of chickens. Most likely March 14-28th. Stay with us a few nights, share a home cooked meal and get to know the family and lay of the land before we depart for 2 weeks in March at which time you would house and dog sit.
-Marley is a sweet 8 month mixed breed pup who needs a few decent walks per day and someone to stay with her as she is only comfortable being home alone for 2 hours max each day. She’s great in a car and loves going places as long as she’s with a companion. We live next to world class mountain bike and hiking trails and are 45 minutes from Whistler.
-We only have 4 old hens left in our small flock of chickens who are very low maintenance. Their duties include turning off the electric fence and letting them into their run in the morning, and closing the door behind them at night (they put themselves to bed). Everything else is automated including their coop door, feed and water, and fence turning on at night.
    - We have a small urban garden and greenhouse which may require watering and monitoring seedlings once per day, as well a some light weeding in the backyard and turning a compost pile.
