  Description

  Dear fellow human beings, a long time ago I lost a part of my heart to the ruins of a convent/small monastery in southern Umbria, near Amelia, Collicello.
  I have been working for 8 years to stop the decay of around 600 years and to give this truly paradisiacal place a future in terms of use and effectiveness. Much has already been done, there is a road, a water pipe, electricity, toilet/bathroom and a small construction hut for 2 people with a fantastic view. In the village of Collicello, 1.5 km away, a simple house has been rented with space for 7 people. Since the ruins of the chapel have a history of 1000 years, archaeological considerations must be taken into account during the work. The complex is a monument. A building permit is currently being drawn up and is already well advanced. Current help includes uncovering walls, stabilizing existing masonry, cultural maintenance of the terrain, erecting the dilapidated monastery garden wall, all in harmony with nature and the capabilities of the local people as far as possible.
  I am 66 years old, an art therapist, carpenter, self-taught builder, 3 grown-up children, and have been making art with people with disabilities for almost 30 years, now building monasteries!
  The stays here can be a mixture of work on site and cultural participation in the local opportunities. Rome and Assisi are easy to get to.

  A convent is also a central place of communication.
  I speak German, sufficient standard English and broken Italian.
  Since I am only on site at certain times, helping hours are in March (forest work) and June-September. This year, 2024, there are still good opportunities to help us in July and August.

  Liebe Mitmenschen, vor langer Zeit habe ich einen Teil meines Herzens an eine Ruine eines Konvent/ Kleinkloster in Südumbrien , in der Nähe von Amelia, Collicello , verloren.
  Ich arbeite seid 8 Jahren daran den Verfall von ca 600 Jahren zu stoppen und dem wahrlich paradiesischen Ort eine Zukunft im Sinne einer Nutzung und Wirksamkeit zu ermöglichen . Vieles ist schon geschehen, es gibt einen Fahrweg, eine Wasserleitung, Strom ,Toilette /Bad und eine kleine Bauhütte für 2 Personen aktuell, mit phantastischer Aussicht. Im Dorf Collicello, 1,5 km entfernt, ist ein einfaches Haus angemietet, mit Platz für 7 Personen. Da die Ruine der Kapelle 1000 Jahre Geschichte hat, ist bei den Arbeiten archeologische Rücksicht geboten. Die Anlage ist ein Denkmal. Eine Baugenehmigung wird aktuell erarbeitet und ist schon weit gediehen. Aktuelle Arbeiten sind noch Freilegungen von Mauern, Stabilisierung von bestehendem Mauerwerk, kulturelle Pflege des Terrains, Aufrichtung der verfallenen Klostergarten Mauer,alles möglichst im Einklang mit der Natur und den Möglichkeiten der Menschen vor Ort.
  Ich bin 66 Jahre alt, Kunsttherapeut, Tischler, autodidaktischer Baumeister , 3 Kinder die erwachsen sind, und habe knapp 30 Jahre mit Menschen mit Handicap Kunst gemacht, jetzt Klosterbau!
  Die Aufenthalte hier können ein Mischung von Arbeit vor Ort und kultureller Teilhabe an den lokalen Möglichkeiten sein. Rom und Assisi sind gut zu erreichen.
  Einem modernem Verständnis der
  benediktinischen Regel kann man hier folgen:

  bete, arbeite und lese
  Ein Convent ist zentral auch ein Ort der Kommunikation.
  Ich spreche Deutsch, ausreichendes Standartenglisch und gebrochen Italienisch.
  Da ich nur bestimmte Zeiten vor Ort bin ergeben sich Arbeitszeiten im März (Waldarbeit) und Juni-September .Dieses Jahr, 2024,sind im Juli und August noch gute Möglichkeiten der Mitarbeit gegeben.

  There are beautiful, small, medieval towns to visit nearby.
  The existing car can be used for this purpose.
  Assisi and Rome are easy to reach by train.
  There is a natural swimming pool nearby and a little further away (about 60km) is Lake Bolsena, a very beautiful bathing lake with good water, but only accessible by car.
  The neighbor nearby once offered me the use of her swimming pool.
  
  Many things here are as they are, if someone doesn't like them, they should be able to talk about it!
  
  Es können in der Nähe schöne ,kleine , mittelalterliche Orte besucht werden.
  Hierzu kann das vorhandene Auto gemeinschaftlich benutzt werden.
  Assisi und Rom sind gut mit der Bahn zu erreichen.
  Es gibt ein Naturschwimmbad in der Nähe und etwas weiter weg (ca 60km) den Lago di Bolsena, ein sehr schöner Badesee mit gutem Wasser,aber nur mit dem Auto erreichbar.
  Die Nachbarin in der Nähe hat mir mal angeboten ihren Swimmingpool zu nutzen.
  
  Viele Dinge sind hier so wie sie sind ,wenn sie einem Menschen nicht gefallen, sollte man darüber reden können!

  Im Wald am Rande des Klostergarten können Wohnmobile im Schatten aufgestellt werden. In unmittelbarer Nähe ist auch das Bad und 2 WC's. Motorhomes can be parked in the shade in the forest on the edge of the monastery garden. The bathroom and 2 toilets are also in the immediate vicinity.

  Hund die Freund von meiner Hündin Emma wollen sind herzlich willkommen . Emma freut sich erstmal über jeden Hund. Dogs who want to be friends with my dog ​​Emma are very welcome. Emma is happy to have any dog.
