About us- we are answering now again!!!

We are a family (2 adults, one -year-old and one 1-year-old), living off-grid in the Aljezur area together with our dogs and donkeys. We have many years of experience in simple living, gardening and building natural spaces.
long story short: For many years, Steffi has been working at the local donkey sanctuary. Two years ago we took over the sanctuary and are now trieng to creat creating a new home for our lovely donkeys on our own land.
Who we are looking for:
Right now we are looking for kind, independent people who would like to become long-term volunteers who can stay for more than one week and enjoy taking initiative.
We offer accommodation in our small bell tent or your own tenet or camper, access to our outdoor kitchen and the possibility to experience off-grid life surrounded by nature and donkeys.
In exchange, we ask for around 5 hours of help per week. We don't always work together on the same projects, so we are looking for people who enjoy working independently. We are always around to answer questions, explain tasks and offer support whenever needed.
Current projects include:
* Cleaning and organising the land
* Building small (or larger) wooden structures, depending on your skills
* Gardening and making the place beautiful
* Building fences
* Helping to care for the donkeys
* Occasionally joining donkey walks and spending time with the animals
Experience with woodworking, gardening or natural building is welcome but not necessary. A willingness to learn, a positive attitude and enjoying nature are much more important. -
