    Description

An apology from the organization for not being able to answer the messages and being absent for a long time, but we are back.
Una disculpa de parte de la organización por no poder responder los mensajes y estar ausentes un buen tiempo pero estamos de vuelta.

Our foundation was established in August 2016, having as main objective working in favour of abandoned and mistreated dogs in the city of Puyo, Ecuador. It all started with an initiative of 13 year old girl, who was animal lover and dreamed of having a place for all dogs in need of help. After years of commitment, she managed to make her dream come true and now she runs one of very few dog rescue centers in Amazonian region of Ecuador. This is non-profit organization, based only on self-management and dedication of its volunteers. During those 7 years of existence it improved conditions of life of many animals. In the rescue center based in little village of Fatima, dogs can recover from injuries and illness while waiting for their new homes. It works closely with public authorities and veterinary service to ensure that our four legged friends receive the best possible support. It’s not an easy job and it’s hard to watch suffering and neglected animals, but with every intervention, one life is saved and that what’s keep it all going.
With the help of volunteers we hope to improve the work of the Foundation in the fields of rescue, care, rehabilitation and entertainment of dogs, who become part of our project. We look for people who love animals, like we do and are keen on making world a better place for them. In Latin America dogs are still being treated badly, with many being malnourished, abandoned, wounded and scared. Stray dogs are still a common view on the streets of Latin-American cities. We hope to unite forces with people from around the world who are looking for some useful purposes while on their adventures in Ecuador, to change this situation.
We are situated in unique and beautiful part of Amazonian rainforest, with rivers and waterfalls, jungles and volcanoes at your fingertips. You’ll have a unique opportunity to spend time in one of the most bio diverse part of the World and help some of the most vulnerable animals living there. We’ll provide you with free accommodation in exchange for your help in the rescue center from Monday to Friday. The rest of time will be for you to enjoy!
There is still a lot you can do to make a difference while making things that you love, don’t miss the chance!!!
