Small organic olive oil farm in a mountainous region of the Mani in Southern Greece. We are on the edge of a small hamlet close to the Virgos Gorge at 1,500 feet, yet only 20 minutes from the sea and the historic town of Kardamyli
I can't teach Greek but can inform about local history the care of olive trees.
I need help with general maintainance on the olive terraces and in the garden area. Some stone walling experience would be great but this is not essential. If there is a prolonged period of bad weather, help with painting inside would be great.
2 double bedrooms for guests and two showers rooms, with upper and lower garden terraces.
There are buses to Kardamyli (and further down the coast) and to the nearest city of Kalamata picking up 3 miles from the farm. The area is popular with walkers and cyclists. Cycle hire and car hire is available in Kardamyli. I have a large and perhaps over-welcoming dog, so visitors will need to be dog lovers! I'd expect guests to respect and return the welcomes and kindnesses from my Greek neighbours. I'd also appreciate help clearing up after meals.
