We are an upcoming farmsite in the outskirts of Bharatpur city in the Chitwan district of Nepal. We are looking for friends who can help us with the ongoing construction and landscaping work of our site.
Some heads up about the place:
-We are planning to develop a farm stay for tourists along with a rearing facility for our animals such as buffaloes, goats, ducks, chickens and turkeys.
- The farmsite will serves as a relaxation space where they can experience the rural lifestyle and share a common space with our animals.
- It will also help people to practice agriculture and participate in farm based activities such as seed sowing, cultivation, harvesting and manuring as well.
-The farmsite is in close proximity of a local river and is surrounded amidst Sal trees. We are often visited by migratory birds as guests in the mornings.
Our team comprise of Mr. Himanshu who is leading the work and is supported by local community members who are all in their 30s.

The farmsite offers a traditional Nepalese experience of living a rural lifestyle in the foothills of the Himalayas. Participate with us over bonfire in the evenings and get to know about our local Himalayan folklores, food, spices and customary rituals. You will also get a hands-on experience of the local farming practices as well.
The kind of help we require from our friends are:
1) Help in ongoing construction activities ( preparation of border fencing, refurbishing the old house, plumbing and development of cowshed area).
2) Cleaning and Landscaping of the farmsite.
3) Taking care of our buffaloes, chickens, ducks, goats and turkeys. Added tasks are helping them with their daily food and petting them :)
4) Help in sowing, weeding, plantation of crops and trees, watering and upkeep of the site.
Note: The above-mentioned tasks might vary depending on the requirement. The updated list of activities can be discussed prior to your arrival.
We are an upcoming farmsite and are trying our best to build it through our shared labour and joys. We believe in being proactive with help and do not expect to oversee anyone. We assume that you are applying because you want to contribute to our project, participate with the local community and experience living in the rural parts of Nepal with simplicity. We believe that your help will bring in even more energy, passion and commitment.

We provide neat and clean mattresses and blankets as per weather requirements. We will provide you with simple home cooked meals 3 times a day for free.
The farmsite is in the outskirts of Bharatpur in proximity to the forests. You are likely to witness wild animals such as deers, wild boars, peacocks, and other birds found in the Terai region (foothills) of the Himalayas.
Workawayers can visit the famous Chitwan National Park which is approximately an hour away from our farm site during their off-days to see the one-horned Rhinos, Asiatic Elephants, and Tigers. We are 10 km away from Bharatpur, a popular metropolitan city located on the banks of the river Narayani which is an important tributary of the Ganges. You can enjoy the pristine sunsets sitting on the river banks and can enjoy the laid-back traditional Nepali food in the local restaurants.
Those interested in bird-watching can also visit the Beeshazar Tal ( Twenty Thousand lakes) comprising numerous small and big water bodies. It is a forest wetland region that is home to several migratory birds in Nepal.
Devghat, situated at the confluence of river Kali Gandaki and Trishuli River is a holy site that forms the River Narayani is located at a distance of 7 km from Bharatpur. Its location amidst the lap of nature surrounded by forests and silent waters of the Himalayan rivers is a blessing for nature lovers.
Upardanghari Fort is a local attraction which is a 4-5 hour jungle hike passing through old forest trails and wildlife. The fort offers a beautiful wide-angle view of the Chitwan district.
