    Description

Join me as I transform my communal property into a digital nomad hostel with Puerto Escondido's first ever Irish bar! We have a lot of work to do to get ready for the high season from rebuilding the tree house to putting up two new cabanas. There's a lot of painting to be done and building all the new beds. Our aim is to try and combine new age comfort with the raw traditional Mexicano style that we all love so much. The property currently has so much charm that we don't want to lose, but we do want to add a lot of comfort for our guests. All bunks will be hand made pods allowing for privacy and secure storage of possessions. The kitchen will be upgraded to allow sufficient cooking and food preparation space. The garden requires a face lift meaning all the walls need to be painted. And finally we will build a bar for our guests.

Specific skills we are looking for:
    - carpentry
    - painting

Once we open in November we will need volunteers for managing the guests and changing the bed sheets. We will also continue our project and expand to build a yoga studio and possibly a sauna and cold plunge area.

We are located a 3 minute walk to the famous La Punta beach. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area. Puerto Escondido is an incredible place with so much to see and you will have an incredible amount of fun here and probably will never want to leave!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Here you will be working alongside two Mexican guys who are totally awesome and so much fun to be around. I myself am from Ireland so together we will share our culture and traditions and food with one another. The guys can help us with our Espanol...I am still learning myself! We will teach you a lot about building with wood if you don't already have those skills. And we will head out together in the evenings to enjoy the local atmosphere and unwind after a hard day's work. (myself and the Mexicans will be working long days to get this place ready on time. Volunteers will only work 4 hours per day, 5 days per week).

    Help

We need people who have experience operating tools, working with wood, and painting! Good painters!!! If you are an artist and would like to paint a wall mural we have lots of wall space for you to be creative and to put your own stamp on the place.

After we open we will also need help with running the place, checking in guests and changing bed sheets.

We will ask for 4 hours volunteering per day, 5 days per week. We will accept volunteers for a week to one month duration.
