We are a Canadian Hungarian family of 2 adults and 2 boys (9 and 7), living in a renovated farmhouse on 2 hectares of rolling hills, 30 minutes from downtown Toulouse.
Julia is starting a permaculture-based farm with a large variety of fruit, edible wild plants and some animals.
We are on the route of Santiago de Compostella and run several gites on the property. We need your help to maintain the gites, farming/gardening, renovations on the property and helping with the kids. Note: there is a possibility for taking French classes nearby, and we are happy to adjust to your schedule should you want to take them.

We speak 3 languages at home and will be glad to work with you here or finding a course of study that will meet your needs. You can learn how to recognize and nurture different kinds of plants and trees. There are always landscaping and building renovation projects being planned and carried out. You will get a good feel for how a small hotel/gite operation is run. Finally, you can profit from the opportunities (music, sports, culture) L'Isle Jourdain and Toulouse offer.
We need someone to help out during the day, evenings should all be free. We can provide lodging, meals, internet and will try to help make your stay productive.

The train station and downtown L'Isle Jourdain are about 2 km from here, buses and trains leave for Toulouse throughout the day. The ocean is about 90 minutes away, the Pyrenees and Spain are about 2.5 hours off. We have a large pool on site, L'Isle Jourdain has a weekend market, stores, restaurants, a lake with world class wakeboarding, a tennis club...etc.. There are horseback riding facilities nearby. With two young boys, we need someone responsible and able to handle a bit of noise and stress.
