  • Description

We are a busy family of four humans and one cat living on the beautiful Otago Peninsula. We are New Zealanders who have lived in England, Scotland, Japan, Germany and South Africa. We have a large section where we are attempting to develop a Japanese garden as well as a permaculture based vegetable and fruit garden. We have big ideas but not a lot of time! We love good food and good company. We look forward to welcoming you to our home.

We have travelled a lot ourselves and have lived in countries where our language (English) was not the primary language. We worked as English teachers in Japan and understand the challenges that people learning English face.
We offer a genuine New Zealand homestay experience where you will be welcomed as part of our family.

We are attempting to develop a Japanese/Kiwi garden with a focus on edibles and New Zealand natives plants. We have big ideas but not a lot of time! We need help with gardening landscaping projects, housework and general maintenance. Our family includes two children and we may ask you to help with child care.

Here you can experience beautiful, wild beaches and landscapes. You can see Albatross, penguins, sea lions and seals. Dunedin is one of New Zealand's best kept secrets. It is a vibrant and interesting city with something for everybody to enjoy. You will be free to spend your time off exploring our little corner of the world.
