Description
Nestled in the hills of Manawahe, Whakatane, Bay of Plenty. A peaceful spot with nearby lakes, beaches and nature walks. I am restoring old farm land back to native bush creating a place where others can come to retreat, restore and reconnect amongst nature. I live in a tiny house and enjoy a simple, sustainable way of living. I look forward to welcoming you to this little slice of paradise!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I love to meet new people, learn about different cultures and share about myself and my culture too. Cooking and sharing meals together is a lovely way to connect and share stories. I like to eat organic as much as possible and enjoy growing what I can on the land as well as enjoying free range eggs from the chickens. I eat healthy mainly plant based meals or venison that my Dad has hunted.
In exchange for your help you'll experience living a simple sustainable semi off-grid lifestyle, learn about revegetation, wellness and a slower way of life. I'm also learning about the healing properties of native plants so as that journey evolves I would love to share that knowledge too. There are so many beautiful spots to explore in the area and I'll happily show you around!
Help
Help on the land would include assisting with planting projects (weeding and removing nets from trees) maybe some light maintenance (cleaning or re-staining) DIY building if you are experienced in that, projects that allow you to express your creativity and passions.
