    Description

We have recently bought a house on a small and very quiet island off the east coast of South east Queensland near Brisbane and are busy refurbishing it and installing landscaping.

We need some help to finish painting our double storey house and establish gardens. Physical labour will be involved, and some experience with tools and some level of skill in DIY will be required. If you are handy with a paint brush or spray gun, and not afraid of heights, and a lot of hard work, we would welcome you to stay with us.

Accommodation is in a caravan. There is electricity, gas for cooking and water connected. It has one double bed and is separate from the house. The bathroom and laundry facilities are on the ground floor of the house and yours to use. There is also a fridge & freezer available to use in the laundry.

Fishing and swimming are only a short walk away. We have bicycles and a kayak for you to use. Other activities available on the island include pool, free tennis courts, weekly trivia nights and yoga. Three other islands in our area and they all offer different activities such as golf, barefoot bowls, and art classes. Travelling to them by ferry is free, but the mainland is at a small cost (currently 50 cents).

Lamb Island is the second smallest island in a group of four. It is a small and friendly community. There is a small shop near the ferry terminal for basic items, and a supermarket on a nearby island for everything else.

The mainland is 25 minute ferry ride away, were you can find public transport into the Brisbane City, or other south east Queensland destinations.

The Gold Coast is a few hours south by car and Sunshine Coast is a few hours North.

We have lived on the Island for almost 3 years and love the quietness and the freedom to go fishing in the morning and boating in the afternoon, and not be more than a few minutes from home.

We also enjoy the community, who are always happy to help, or just have a chat.

The island can be reached by public transport from the airport (visit ). It is close to the mainland yet feels like the country!

Please note that we have an adorable older dog, who loves meeting new people.

This is available to NON SMOKERS ONLY.
