  • Description

    Description

We are a small friendly hostel in Cape Town's bohemian/arty/student area of Observatory who does alot of work with local charities in the surrounds, and we host many international young volunteers who come to work on these projects.

We are looking for Workaways to help with hosting the volunteers, organising activities, and assisting with new arrivals and departures.

The area has great public transport links and lots to do in Cape Town on off days such as Table Mountain, Wine Tours, City beaches, plenty nightlife and other daytime excursions.

Plenty of time off to explore. Observatory has many cafes, bars and restaurants with a vibey student atmosphere. 5km by train or taxi is City Centre with many shops, markets and parks, plus links to Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront and some fine beaches like Clifton and Camps Bay. The train also links to Muizenberg which is on the opposite side of Cape Town and is one of the best learn-to-surf beaches in the world! Also not far from there is the famous penguin sanctuary at Boulders Beach.
