We are multicultural and bilingual Asian American family. My daughter grew up with Au Pairs, so we are used to hosting curious international travelers.

  • Help

    Help

I need help with some minor house projects that I put off over the years, such as trimming the roses, vines and lemon trees, painting the internal and external doors. It would be nice if someone could help walk my dog or take care of my cats, but it's negotiable. Any help around the house like cleaning the house and help organizing the garage, depending on the length of stay.

I'm always interested in learning new languages and culture. My daughter is taking her first year in Spanish at school. She goes to Japanese school on weekends.

Our house faces a regional park which is lovely for hiking and biking. Beaches, Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm are 20-30 minute drive by car or 40-60 minutes by bus. LA is one hour by car or by train. Shopping malls and restaurants are about a mile from home. We provide bicycles for local transportation. Bus stops are 15 minutes' walk from our house.

Although unexpected, we retain the right to ask any WorkAwayer to do a COVID test upon arrival or during the stay under certain circumstances. Such circumstances include but are not limited to: surge in COVID cases in your home country; and you show any symptom of COVID infections. We will not host any WorkAwayers with a positive test result. We suggest that you have a back up plan in place to self-isolate if you test positive.
