    Description

Hello from Avigliana, Piedmont! We are a family living in a beautiful villa .

Help with simple garden winterizing tasks in beautiful Avigliana, near Turin (Italy)

We are looking for one or two Workawayers to join us for a short stay between early September and early October. The help we need is very simple and mainly involves preparing our garden for the winter season:

    Dismantling the above-ground pool

    Trimming the hedges

    Cutting firewood for the winter

We ask for about 3 hours of help in the morning each day, so the rest of the time is completely free for you to relax and explore.

    🏞️ About Avigliana
Our home is in Avigliana, a charming medieval town at the foot of the Alps. It is famous for its two beautiful lakes, perfect for swimming, walking, or enjoying the view of the mountains. The old town has cobbled streets, ancient churches, and cozy cafés, while nature lovers will find plenty of hiking and biking opportunities in the nearby Val di Susa. The Sacra di San Michele, one of the most iconic monuments of Piedmont and inspiration for Umberto Eco’s The Name of the Rose, is only a short trip away.

    🚆 Transport to Turin
Avigliana is very well connected by train: the station is within walking distance from our home, and in just 30 minutes you can reach Turin. Trains run frequently, making it easy to spend a day in the city and return in the evening.

🏙️ Things to do in Turin
Turin is one of Italy’s most elegant and vibrant cities, known for its wide boulevards, historic cafés, and rich culture. You can:

Visit the Egyptian Museum, the second largest in the world

Explore the Royal Palaces and the Mole Antonelliana, home to the Cinema Museum

Stroll under the arcades filled with shops and bookshops

Taste traditional food like gianduja chocolate, bicerin (a local coffee drink), and agnolotti pasta

Enjoy the lively nightlife, concerts, and cultural events
