    Description

Hi there! We're Liliana and Carmelo and we're running a glamping in Sicily. We have 4 bell tent in a 11 hectar property, among olive and almond trees. We are passionate about living surrounded by nature and quiteness and would like to share our passion with our hosts and workawayers. Our place is perfect for country lovers, as we're far enough from town to enjoy the sounds of nature and an astonishing starry sky.
The baroque town of Noto is just 15 minutes far by car and the beautiful sicilian beaches are 20 minutes away.
To apply please tell us a bit about yourself, why you would like to Workaway with us, what relevant experience you have and your expectations about this adventure.

Workawayers will be able to improve their english (or learn Italian) and meet many people from all over the world. They will learn how to run a glamping site! They will learn about Siciilian heritage both historical and natural along with learning skills for the hospitality industry. Carmelo is a good cook and will share with you the secrets of sicilian traditional dishes.
In Noto the gilded local stone makes baroque buildings elegant and enchanting views make the atmosphere special. Suspended between sky and sea, Noto is located on the top of the hill from which dominates the Noto Valley. Just outside Noto, you can visit the ruins of the ancient city, destroyed by the earthquake at the end of the XVII century. Do not miss this beautiful Greek city. Ortigia, Syracuse ancient area, tells us about a glorious past still alive thanks to Greek temples, Christian churches and palaces of various eras.

We're looking for volounteers to help us 4 hours 6 days a week in cleaning and bed making our belltents and the restrooms (during summer). We need energetic people as outdoor life isn't easy expecially in warmer months (in Sicily summer can be really hot).

In winter, our volunteer will help us to take care of the land, collecting fruits or pruning trees. The most of the tasks would be done in the morning.
We require volunteering 4 hours per day, 6 days per week of assistance.
If needed and on request, extra hours would be payed according to minimum Italian wage.

    What else ...

We are a 15 minute drive from Noto, a beautiful baroque city and we have to go there almost daily for shopping. You can always hitch a ride with us into town and we can pick you up later in the day. There is plenty to explore around us with good walks and cycle routes; there is an ancient necropolis nearby and some little lakes where you can go swimming near Ancient Noto (we can also bring you there). If you enjoy taking walks, hiking nature trails, star gazing, we're your right choice.
