I cannot say this more clearly or with enough enthusiasm. Anyone who has the privilege of hosting Javier should count their blessings. I've hosted a lot of exceptional Workawayers. I'm very discriminating about who I've had work at my home. That said, I don't think there's another Workawayer, let alone human on this planet who can outwork Javier.
… read more Pair that with his commitment to excellence and communication and you have yourself the best guy for the job. To be honest, if Javier is available and inspired to work with you, I would do whatever it takes to grab him. Pay him what you can because you'll not be able to buy his kind of workmanship--for any price. He's that exceptional.
Javier came to my house in the early stages of a renovation and made the impossible possible. He parted the clouds, moved mountains, managed another worker, inspired him to do his best work, smiled and somehow seemed to love every minute of it. He lives in gratitude and has a wonderfully healthy outlook on life.
I cannot recommend him enough for any Workawayer who is inclined to call on him.

My year of WorkAwayers here at my cabin restoration project has been filled with delightful, conscientious, colorful, and good-hearted people. Paddy was no exception. As the year was winding down, so was my 'to-do' list, but I needed a painter. Somehow, the Universe afforded me one more absolute gem of a human and excellent painter to boot. I can

Not only was he the best professional painter I could ask for, he came with the perks of a stellar human being. Paddy was as easy a guest as you could ask for. You could fill a room with 10 Paddy's and never tire of them. He is welcome to return any time.

After hosting two previous exceptional Spanish Workawayers, when Alberto inquired, I could not say YES fast enough.
Indeed, he was yet another Spanish treasure with uniquely wonderful qualities. Alberto is poised, polite, kind, clean, organized and thoughtful--not to mention gifted in the kitchen. He made some wonderful soups I hope to recreate.

The dogs and I were immediately comfortable in his presence, and I felt honored to have such a gifted artist and craftsman improve my cabin. He has an incredible eye for color and design and knew his way around all the tools. I so enjoyed his presence and appreciate his beautiful contributions. He hand-crafted a custom octagon faux window gable. I hope he returns so the whales will again jump out of the ocean and the squirrels will approach us with confidence. Thank you, Alberto! I hope to see you again soon.

Conocer a Jayne y su hogar ha sido toda una experiencia muy positiva! La zona es preciosa llena de vida animal de todo tipo,... ciervos, mofetas, gaviotas, ardillas, focas.... After about three weeks staying here, Jesse has given me a tremendous appreciation for Alaskan natives. Jayne is the most generous and thoughtful host I have had the pleasure of visiting in over a year of using Work away. James was an absolute pleasure to have at my little cabin by the sea. Hosting James was only my second WorkAway experience, and I fear he may have set bar be unrealistically high.
My cabin is small, yet his presence was easy. He is a dog person at his core, so when it comes to getting along with animals he's as good as it gets. He is a

My gift to other hosts regarding James is this advice: If you want something done, give it to him then turn him loose. He's overqualified for most anything you throw at him. Most importantly, please feed him well and treat him with kindness. His WorkAway travels are nothing less than a personal endeavor to volunteer for others in need of assistance and to enjoy conversation with good people along the way. He is selfless. Encourage him to play as much as he works. He is deserving of only the most gracious hosts and peaceful environments. My dogs and I will miss him, but we are content that he will continue to help others as he has helped us!Help in our garden and share your culture with us in fun, vibrant downtown Asheville, USA
