About Me
Hi, I'm Eike! After 15 years as a digital nomad, I’ve recently chosen to settle down in beautiful Siracusa, Sicily. I work on various online projects that allow me to work remotely – often from home or a nearby café – while staying connected to the world.
I’ve just bought apartment overlooking the sea. It’s spacious and peaceful, but it needs a bit of rennovation.
About the Place
This is a 3–4 bedroom apartment with stunning sea views, located right by a jogging path along the coast that leads straight into Siracusa’s historic city center. It’s a wonderful place to unwind, reflect, and enjoy Mediterranean living.
Right now, the apartment has:
Minimal furniture
hot water
working bathroom and kitchen
a couple of beds
Landine internet should come this week
bikes
I would like some help with renovation around 10 hours per week. You not only get to stay for free, but you will also get 6 EUR per hour of work.Types of help and learning opportunities

I’m a multicultural person who speaks eight languages and has lived and worked across several continents – from Europe and Asia to South America. I’ve just recently arrived in Siracusa, so I haven’t yet had the chance to build a local community here. But that’s something I deeply hope to do over time.
Siracusa is full of international tourists and has a rich Mediterranean cultural history. While I’m still settling in (it’s only been one week!), I already have at least one other international guest staying here, and I’m excited to welcome more people from different backgrounds.
Eventually, I hope to turn this apartment into a small co-living space for people from all over the world – a place where we can share skills, ideas, meals, and good conversations while enjoying life by the sea.Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

Help
I'm looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on tasks – nothing too heavy – to help out 2 hours per day. If you have any DIY, renovation, or handyman experience, even better!
Some of the tasks may include:
Painting walls and furniture
Sanding walls and windows
Installing or replacing electrical plugs
Helping with old shutters
Applying cement or tiling on the balcony
Organizing and light clean-up
If you have a car, that’s a bonus (e.g. for picking up materials), but it’s not required.
You get 6 EUR per hour of help, more if you are a professional in the task you work on.Languages

You’ll have your own private room in a spacious 3–4 bedroom apartment with stunning sea views in Siracusa, Sicily. The room has a comfortable bed and will be equipped with a table within the next few days. Fresh sheets and towels are provided, and you’ll have full access to the kitchen, bathroom, and living spaces.
The apartment is located along a beautiful jogging path that follows the coast directly into the historic city center. While the home is still being set up — we’re in the early stages of renovation — it’s already a peaceful and inspiring space.
There’s minimal furniture for now, no hot water or landline internet yet (both coming soon!), but there’s mobile data coverage, a lot of natural light, sea breeze, and a relaxed vibe. You’ll be sharing the apartment with me and at least one other international guest. Eventually, I’d love to make it a small co-living space with a creative, international atmosphere.A little more information
