    Description

We are a warm and easygoing family of three who truly enjoy life, nature, and meeting people from different parts of the world. Traveling and exchanging cultures is something we deeply value, which is why we love hosting volunteers and guests at our home.

Our place is nestled on a small hill, surrounded by a peaceful forest, offering beautiful views and a strong connection to nature. We share our home with a variety of friendly animals, including goats, a donkey, chickens, ducks, a pig, a dog, and several cats, so there is always something lively happening around us.

We also grow our own food, taking care of a garden and a field, and we run a small camping area where we welcome travelers who enjoy simple, nature-based tourism.

Our location is truly special — close to the stunning Lake Bled, near the Sava Dolinka and Sava Bohinjka rivers, and embraced by the Julian Alps. From here, you can admire views of Mount Triglav and even Bled Castle, making it a perfect place for anyone who loves mountains, rivers, and outdoor adventures.

We are looking forward to welcoming open-minded, nature-loving people who would like to share this experience with us.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We love spending time together and creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Workawayers are welcome to join us in our daily life — from shared meals and working in the garden to simple social moments like evening chats, board games, or sitting around the fire. We also enjoy exploring the nearby nature together, such as walking by the rivers, visiting local spots, or occasionally connecting with neighbors and local events.

We are happy to share our knowledge about gardening, growing vegetables, taking care of animals, and living a more self-sufficient, nature-connected lifestyle. Workawayers can also learn about small-scale eco-tourism, as we run a simple campsite and enjoy hosting travelers.

At the same time, we see hosting as a two-way exchange. We are curious and open to learning from different cultures, perspectives, and ways of life. We enjoy hearing stories, discovering new ideas, and maybe even learning new skills, recipes, or approaches that we can bring into our own daily life.

  • Help

    Help

We especially appreciate volunteers who have some experience with farming or growing vegetables, as this is an important part of our daily life. However, motivation to learn, curiosity, and a positive attitude are just as valuable as experience.

The help we are looking for is mainly related to gardening, growing vegetables, taking care of the land, and small everyday homestead tasks.

Although we also run a small tourism business, this is separate from the volunteer exchange and volunteers are not involved in tourism-related work.

We are looking forward to meeting open-minded people who enjoy nature, simple living, and sharing everyday life with others.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We offer our volunteers a small cozy wooden cabin surrounded by nature, providing a comfortable and peaceful place to stay. The cabin includes a double bed, a toilet, a shower and an outdoor kitchen.

We enjoy sharing meals together when we are at home and cooking, and we are happy to prepare food for everyone. When we are not cooking, you are always welcome to use the outdoor kitchen and there will be basic ingredients available so you can prepare something for yourself whenever you like.

When we prepare meals, we cook for everyone and share the food together, creating a warm and communal experience.
