    Description

We are looking for help on the farm from one person or two people for July 2025.

Immediate start. General tidying up the farm and also rouging wild oats (full training given).

Enthusiasm and attitude to get stuck in essential but no previous farm experience required, although this would be preferable.

Please note that our farm is not far from the City of Dundee (5 miles) but that we are not on a bus route and we are looking for someone who has a car, or a bike. We have helped previous workaways select a car for sale nearby.

We are a small family beef, sheep and cropping farm in South Angus. Our farm sits on the Sidlaw hills overlooking the city of Dundee, with beautiful views of the local area. We run a 5 star tourism business on the farm.

We have experience with international people working for us and we have also travelled a lot ourselves including two years in Australia and New Zealand in our 20s .

You will work over 4 or 5 days most weeks, 30 to 40 hours per week for 2 to 3 weeks this July 2025.

We pay Workaways for all hours they work at minimum wage UK levels.

Accommodation is in a large static caravan. There are facilities for you to cook meals. There is no charge for the accommodation but we take off around £40 per week for gas and electricity - if more is used then that amount is charged, if less is used, then the exact amount is charged.

Ross and Caroline have two children, Finlay who is 19 and Sophie who is 17.

We are in an excellent area with great transport links to the rest of Scotland with Aberdeen an hour to the north and Edinburgh an hour to the south.

We have traveled a lot and worked in Australia and NZ. We value family time.

There is bus that passes the farm road end twice a day to go into Dundee. There are regular buses every 20 minutes which leave from the edge of the City, 2 miles away. We have a bike for your use. There is parking if you have your own car.

There is a lot of good restaurants in Dundee, the cinema is a 10 minute drive. We have a lot of walks in the Sidlaw Hills next to the farm, good beaches are 30 minutes drive.

We encourage you to get to know other local people in our community or take up sports etc with clubs if you wish while you are here.
