    # Our Family

    We are a Syrian family who came from Syria 10 years ago and obtained Finnish citizenship 5 years ago. We live here in a beautiful and very safe country.

    Wael: 47 years old (Master degree in accounting, ICT Bachelor degree).
    Dalia: 42 years old (Class teacher Bachelor degree).
    Aws: 12 years old, Fluent in English, Finnish, and also speaks Arabic.
    Sandra: 6 years old, Speaks English, Finnish, and Arabic.

    Open-minded and excited to learn about new culture and language!

    # Accommodation and Location
    We live in an apartment in Helsinki, near Malmi Train Station. The direct train ride from Malmi train Station to Helsinki Central Station takes only about 14 minutes (every 5 munities).
    You will have your own room and share two toilets and one bathroom with our family. You are welcome to eat with us.

    # Basic Requirements
    We only accept applicants who hold EU/EEA citizenship or already possess the legal right and necessary permit to reside and volunteer in Finland. You must also have valid travel insurance for the duration of your stay. Please note that we are not responsible for any of your financial expenses (such as visa costs, travelling, transportation or your personal expenses).

    A family is willing to host preferably a German speaker ##woman## in Helsinki, Finland, and help us learn German for up to three months, depending on suitability. Your main role is to practice German with our family daily and play with my children in the evenings.
