Workaway opportunity in a short notice for women only! Min. stay 2 weeks, preferably longer. Homestay!
Availability also for next winter season!
We are experienced hosts and we truly value cultural exchange. Our home is respectful, organized and relaxed. Communication and mutual respect are very important to us.
About us:
We are family of 4 (mum, dad, 2 teenager girls) living in a rural area of Kuusamo, Northern Finland. We are self-employed in a field of tourism. We manage airnbnb's in our region and we are hard-working, very tidy and active outdoor family. Food and food cultures are interesting and important to us.
Looking for:
-easy-going, communicative, outdoor person to share cultural and language exchange
-women only
-no alcohol or drugs
-must love keeping things clean and tidy
-must love dogs (we have 3 three dogs, some experience required)

You will get to know our sauna culture, our habits to pick up berries and mushrooms in the forests, skiing and skating in winter wonderland and enjoy northern nature and silence! In summer you can admire nightless nights and from autumn to spring Northern Lights are visible in our region! We are also happy to teach you Finnish language.
Help
Help is mostly helping to keep home and surroundings clean and take care of the dogs. The most valuable thing is language practise and cultural exchange. We prefer native English speakers.

This is a home-stay.
We offer a private bedroom upstairs in our home, with shared bathroom.
MEALS & FAMILY LIFE
You are always welcome to have lunch and dinner with us, as we value sharing meals together.
However, we appreciate small collaboration such as helping to set and clear the table, as part of normal family life.
At the same time, we completely understand if sometimes you prefer to organize yourself independently, eat at different times or stay out longer. We respect your freedom and personal time.
What else ...
Hiking, nature sights, skiing, fishing... everything related with nature is close. Ski resort is very close. Airport is Kuusamo KAO.
Bigger cities like Rovaniemi (Santa Claus Village and Santa Park) and city of Oulu are reachable by bus.
