    Description

    =======
    The studio will be available from the 27th of October onwards. We are flexible on the start date, but ideally we would like someone who could stay between two and three months. However this being said we are also open to sharing the time with two seperate workdays to cover the time necessary.
    =======

    Hi, we are a family of 4 from Australia that has travelled the Mediterranean full time on our sailing boat for more than 3 years and now we are drying our feet on greek soil in Paros.
    From October, we would like someone to join us in your very own seperate one bedroom studio on Paros with an incredible view. What we need is help with the homeschooling of the children. Ideally you’ll have some experience in teaching or a degree and we would give you total control in all aspects of this and love you to get creative! We’re not intense or regimented in the schooling curriculum or timing but will work around other adventures we are doing at the time. We expect around 15 hours a week of school activity and then probably the odd child care so the parents can go out occasionally. There will be plenty of time for you to explore solo or with us as we love adventure too! Accomodation and utilities would be all paid for you each month, you will have your own kitchen but always welcome to join us for meals! the pictures shown is the accomodation you will be in which is on the hill right above our house enough distance for privacy and close enough that its just a two minute walk to teach the children in our three bedroom home.

    Mum has been home schooling for four years now and needs a break, but also the kids need some exciting new energy to inspire them in their learning journey! The kids are a big part of the local sailing club and this usually keeps them busy all day for three to four days a week so we try to fit the schooling in around this. We value creativity, culture, respect, fun and innovation not only in our teaching style but also within our family. For fun, in addition to sailing we love hikes in winter, swimming, greek festivals, greek dancing and greek language classes. My daughter is hugely creative and we are looking to incorporate some pottery wheel, weaving, painting, plus crafting. My son is more into sports, maths and science.
    If you are an artistic or creative person there are so many amazing local artists on the island, and close to our house we love to attend the Cycladic Arts centre who host international artists to showcase their works.

    If this sounds interesting and you feel like we could be a good fit, please get in touch, we are excited to meet you and for your creative energy to flow!

    We have sailed the Greek islands extensively for the last 3 years so we’ll be happy to share all our favourite spots, we'll make time for you to go and explore them on your own if you like or with us. We are also planning on some sailing trips to see other islands and meet amazing people around Greece. We have a car and scooter one of which will be available to you from time to time in order to explore and immerse yourself in Greek culture. Against popular belief Paros is an amazing island to experience in winter, we still go to the beach regularly including swimming and hikes. Although a lot of places are closed there is still plenty of life throughout this time and it is a much more intimate and special time to be here because you will make many more genuine connections.
