    Hello dear visitors to our profile! We – Kirsten and Thomas – live in the beautiful Lake Constance region.

    We have three cats (and feed many strays ;) ). Our village is located right on the Swiss border, 8 km from Schaffhausen. Our not-quite-perfect house is 200 years old and was built by a Jewish family.

    We have a 2500 m² garden behind our house, which provides us with apples, cherries, chestnuts, berries, plums, and plenty of vegetables.

    We're not perfect, and you don't have to be either.

    We'd love to hear exciting things about your home countries.

    We enjoy engaging in lively discussions about gardening topics. Kirsten is happy to show you a thing or two about our gardening system.

    We welcome guests who would like to stay with us for longer than three weeks. Shorter stays mean too much stress for us and our cats.

    We are vegan and look forward to providing you with a vegan diet during your stay with us. This can be a wonderful experience.

    So far, all of our guests have enjoyed it.

    Generally we are very curious about other cultures, their traditions and customs. A big interest lies also in the exchange of different types of cooking, as well as handling of spices.

    Due to me, Thomas, speaking only little English, it would be very helpfull, if our guest would be able to speak fundamental German.

    If not, we'll surely find another way of communication.

    At the moment, the garden has to be prepared for spring. Sow and potted plants. Prepare the beds.

    But there's also a lot of other tasks to be done in our garden as in our house. Handicraft skills and strong arms would surely be helpful.

    The region next to Lake Constance has a lot of nature and nice scenery to offer. Our village lies next to the High Rhine, where you can swim or paddle.
