My name is Daniela, I’m Italian but I live in Italy just in summer.
I have 3 children: 11 10 and 4yrs old. Kids are very kind, curious, nice .They love stories, football and table games, they also like singing, dancing, arts and books. They play together and dispute a lot, of course. I look for someone who can play with them and improve their languages skills (it s important to read them a lot or telling stories). We speak Italian at home but kids speak French and German.

Help around the house
Summer- Italy: This type of exchange is raccomanded only for people who really want to dive in southern italian culture . It's very difficult (not impossible) to find people speaking a second language so you will learn italian (at least this happened with my previous hosts). The village is very small and people sometimes seems to be living in 70s. There are families on holidays. The life is completely on the country side. The house is in an olive grove with swimming pool and a huge view on the sea. You can practise yoga on sunrise, rest, play tennis. Moreover, I can help you to organize some cultural visits in the area, if interested.
Our village is near Luxembourg city center and all facilities are easily reachable from my place. I think Luxembourg is a special country: there is an amazing melting pot and you can learn or improve a lot of languages and meet people from all the world.at home we speak italian but we encourage to attend a language class (it s our gift for who confirms before the beginning of the class). I like hosting because i believe in the cultural exchange (I had several au pair and i did the same experience when i was 19) . Naturally, I appreciate the help you can give me in the daily routine and especially the possibility for my kids to speak another language.
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Our routine is quite regular: we wake up very early (around 6.30 am)
Kids activities start in late afternoon, we have dinner at 6 pm and they go to bed at 8pm. The elders are very indipendent even though they need to be encouraged to play . You could teach them german/english playing or telling them stories, you could check their homework (few/once a week) and cook simple meals sometimes.
My husband is often abroad so I would like to find a flexible volunteer who can help me in general housekeeping (dusting, hoovering). We don’t eat meat, wheat , sugar, salt, milk and diaries. We prefer hosting a woman.

WINTER: Luxembourg is a small country but very close to many interesting places and well connected by train, bus and of course flights. in our village there is the train station and the bus stop is 5 min walking far from my place. Direct bus and train connections are free. It's also possible to book a private bus for 1euro to reach some places in the area as such as the commercial mall and the swimming pool. A nice park and the forest are very close. The town organise also activities to meet up: coffee, playground or sport classes.
