We are a French-American couple with 4 kids (two grown daughters and two boys who live at home ages 20 and 11 1/2), 2 dogs, 2 cats and some horses. On our renovated farm, we run a small bed and breakfast and serve dinner to guests every night. We are also in the process of raising and training horses for riding and competition. At 1350 m altitude, when the workday is done, we go outside, take a deep breath of clean mountain air and gaze endlessly at the stars which illuminate the Ardeche sky.

Since we are a French/American couple, our Workawayers will not only be able to practice language skills in 2 languages, they will also share in family meals which include international cuisine. Sylvain has traveled the world and offers exciting stories of mountain climbing from Mt. McKinley in the USA to Mt. Fuji in Japan. While Antonietta has worked in the restaurant/hospitality industry for more than 20 years, her family background is well-rounded and you might experience a typical Italian meal along with delicious Asian delights.

WE'RE LOOKING TO CONTINUE OUR SEASON WITH TRAVELING COUPLES WHO WOULD LIKE TO PLANT THEIR FEET FOR A MONTH, GET SOME GOOD MEALS AND MAKE SOME GOOD MEMORIES!
ALSO, WE'RE TAKING INQUIRIES FOR ERASMUS STUDENTS STARTING NOW. LET'S CREATE SOME AWESOME EXPERIENCES TOGETHER!! WE'RE READY TO HOST YOU!!
Now that the Covid-19 restrictions in France have been lifted, we hope that traveling will be easier for everyone and that you can go back to exploring the world through travel and Workaway! We’re happy to announce that we are accepting Workawayers for our Spring cleaning and garden and garden projects. Come be part of the family!
We're looking for energetic couples or individuals who have a passion for family, food, animals and intercultural discovery!! It's best if you can "go with the flow" because every day is different here--it's a farm and a B&B. Right from the start, we take you in as part of our family, so you must like kids, animals and tasty home cooked meals.
During the Spring/Summer season, we mainly need help with cleaning/maintaining our guest accommodations and other related duties for our B&B guests. Other help would include helping with the horses, stacking wood and light household organizing projects.
At the end of last season, we took down the cabin play house and now have a small patch of land ready to be transformed into a vegetable garden...anyone out there with a green thumb?
In addition, we would love to host someone who has experience with riding and caring for horses and who can sometimes work independently. Time management skills are a must in order to work smart and fast so that you can fully profit from all the cool surroundings and fun moments :)
We suggest that you REALLY love nature, because here there are so many things to experience. Also, We also look for our Workawayers to at least speak conversational French in order to offer the maximum efforts to our guests. If you don't speak that well, that's okay--there are many opportunities to practice.
This is a great opportunity to learn and share some hospitality skills. Antonietta has worked in the hospitality industry for many years and has a lot to offer to anyone who wants to learn. We can help you fulfill internship requirements and we are also registered to take Erasmus students. Have your coordinator contact us :)
In the winter/spring months, one of the private guest rooms will be available. However, occasionally if we have booked complete , we would make a space in the family part of the home (either a folding bed or the comfy couch). In the spring/summer season, we have accommodations in tents or the caravan--which will be mounted right on the property. Access to shower/restrooms will be provided :)
We are a certified "BIO" farm and run the bed and breakfast within the guidelines of Gites de France. We reduce, reuse and recycle as often as possible and have a great respect for nature. We live 2.6 km from the village and about 35-40 mins from the nearest big town. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes wide open spaces and nature. You must REALLY, really love nature, or it's not for you :) Coming to share experiences with our family will be unique, but totally worthwhile.
While we can not offer unlimited usage of internet (we are not properly equipped), there is an office of tourism about 8 km away and you are more than welcome to hang out there for cyber surfing in your time off. We have bicycles for you to use or we can drop you off whenever it is convenient. Also, if you have a good data plan with your telephone service, the 3G signal works well and so this is the way to go. But this is a great opportunity to climb mountains and hike along little rivers hidden in the woods and valleys :)
