  Description

  Hello!
  We are a lodge located on the island of Ha'apai in the South Pacific Paradise that is Tonga.
  
  The property is nestled in a lush tropical garden overlooking the white sandy beach. From July - October the magical Humpbacks Whales join us and they can be observed from shore and encountered from boat trips we run!
  
  We have a mix of local and foreign staff and are looking to compliment our existing staff with some lovely like-minded volunteers.
  
  We need someone to support around the resort with general cleaning and gardening, customer relations etc.
  
  We have excellent Glamping tents with comfortable beds for your accomodation and there is a staff kitchen and bathroom/laundry for you to use.
  
  We ask for 5-6hrs per day, 5 days a week and offer the fabulous perk of getting out on the Whale boat when space is available (whilst in whale season) . Kayaks, snorkeling gear and push bikes are also available for you to use on your off time!
  
  Food is provided so you can cook for yourself in the volunteers kitchen!
  
  We'd love to hear from you, especially if you are already in Tonga or can fly in immediately.

  The Tongans are known as the Friendly Island people for a reason and you will feel this as soon as you step off of the plane.
  
  Life here is very relaxed and everything is done in 'island time'.
  
  We are walking distance to the main town so feel free to explore the island at your own pace. Most people speak English so if you need to ask for recommendations or directions don't be shy.
  
  Going to church on a Sunday is something everyone should experience in Tonga (even if you aren't Christian) to hear the beautiful singing or you can catch a local rugby game on a Saturday morning.
  
  The islands are not very developed and your time here will be what you make of it. You can integrate as much or as little as you like (but we recommend a lot).
  
  There are plenty of beaches (and islands) which we will facilitate you wherever possible to explore while you stay.
  
  We have kayaks and SUP's for you to use and you can snorkel from our beach.

  We have recently taken over management of this slice of paradise and would love workawayers to use their talents alongside our local and current staff to help us prep for the season doing tasks such as:

  Accommodation

  You will be camping in our gorgeous garden. We will supply the tent, bed, mattress and all bedding so you do not need to bring anything. There is a staff bathroom, hot shower, kitchen and laundry for your own use.
  
  You will be provided with funds to buy your own food in town. You have your own Vollies kitchen and hangout area. It is very difficult to get a large range of produce and we can but are limited to catering to certain dietaries so please keep this in mind. We will do our best.

  Tonga isn't for everyone. There are no shopping centres and 5* Resorts but it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
  We hope you can be a part of making this a tranquil haven for yourselves and our guests.
