    Description

    Hello travellers
I am a little woman of 61 years living with my dog in a Cévenol farmhouse that I call «the eagle’s nest». A very rustic but authentic house, south facing with a large terrace overlooking the valley and nature as far as you can see. Access is by foot through a path and a raid staircase of 200m.

Three years ago I decided to live far from society and close to nature, without comfort and technology. I think they call it “low tech”. Rather work with human force than with a scrambling machine. My daily life is very peaceful and also physical. Cut the grass with a sickle, raise a wall dry stone (without cement )in the garden , make paint with mashed potatoes and chalk...
I really want to share this natural lifestyle with people who like it or would like to discover it.
I could not pay for the work but I offer housing, food and a good life for everyone.

I love the Cevennes, the wild nature. The forests of chestnut trees and green oaks, rivers, stone houses, scattered even in unlikely places, small roads that criss-cross from valley to valley. I like the people here, very authentic and a little wild as the country but always lend themselves to mutual aid.

I live very lonely with my dog and with some neighbors/ friends not too far away. I often go for walks with Coco my dog and I observe nature. Especially birds, lizards, squirrels, foxes, butterflies and many others. I can borrow the binoculars!

I am familiar with alternative medicine with plants and essential oils or just with food.

Here is the paradise of hikers with views of the breathtaking peaks. There is the GR 6B (long hike) that passes in front of the house. The typical markets of southern France are beautiful! The next smal town is 20km away.

I traveled a lot in my life even with my very young daughter. As soon as possible, I left for several months in very different countries. Mauritania, Fiji, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand Guadeloupe... I am happy to share my memories and listen to your stories.

My great passion is music. Making improvised musical evenings, rather cheerful than perfect.
Bring your instruments if you have some!

Living in old houses in the middle of nature I had to learn how to manage myself in many areas. Repair or insulation of home and also gardening and looking for edible plants or firewood.
I know how to do it but alone is not funny and to several it is much easier too. I like working in a group with the good mood and quietly using ecological materials or recovery. With pleasure I can teach you ecological techniques.
I would be delighted to share a good time with you. Everyone can see what they want to do or learn.

Here is what I would like to do in the next few months (or years), alone or even better share together with enthusiastic travelers.

-Take care of the vegetable garden, fruit trees, cut the grass, observe the animals according to season
-build a second dry toilet (with the help of my neighbor/ friend wood turner)
-Pick up wild plants and straight in the kitchen !
    -paint by here and there
-Make a beauty to the bathroom
    -storage in the cellars
-Make firewood or a balafon (african musical instrument) with the pieces of dry wood.
-Cut bamboo and have fun making flutes or other creative objects.
-Observe the birds that I know well.
-Set up a water harvesting and watering system. With bamboo? Ideas are welcome!
-Maintenance of the source (the stinging brambles grow fast!)
-Climb dry stone walls ( I have some experience but it’s heavy all alone!)
-Make good small dishes preferably vegetarian and from the own garden.
-Let creativity, kindness and know-how speak
-Making music (I have instruments available: a cajon, djembe, handpan, flute)
-Take walks, market outings or various events,
    -Swim in the river
    -Do nothing and BE
