    # 🌿 The Sanctuary | Help Us Build a Regenerative Healing & Creative Living Space in Borneo

    Hello and welcome,

We are The Sanctuary, a growing healing and creative living space based in Sarawak, Borneo, Malaysia.

What we are building is simple to explain, but powerful to experience:

A place where nature, food, healing, creativity, and meaningful human connection come back together.

This is not a hotel, not a retreat factory, and not just a place to pass through.

It is a living project in motion — part sanctuary, part homestead, part creative ecosystem — and we are looking for the right people to help us shape its next chapter.

    ## What We’re Building

The Sanctuary is evolving into a space centered around:

    - root-cause wellness
    - natural living
    - organic homemade food
    - herbal and plant-based knowledge
    - creative expression
    - regenerative land care
    - authentic community

We believe true healing and transformation begin when people slow down, reconnect with nature, and return to what is essential.

Our vision is both grounded and ambitious:
to create a beautiful, functional, heart-led environment where people can heal, contribute, learn, and live more consciously.

    ## Why We’re on Workaway

We are at an exciting stage of growth.

This means there is a lot of room for contribution, creativity, and initiative. We are looking for Workawayers who want more than a free stay — people who genuinely enjoy helping bring a meaningful project to life.

We especially welcome people who can support us not only physically on the land, but also digitally and creatively.

    ## The Kind of Help We Value Most

Depending on your skills and energy, you may help with things like:

    - gardening and food forest development
    - land care and planting
    - organizing and improving shared spaces
    - light building, repair, and maintenance
    - helping in the kitchen or with guest experience
    - photography and videography
    - social media content creation
    - branding, storytelling, and digital communication
    - website improvement
    - design, copywriting, or creative direction
    - documenting the project and helping us share it with the world

If you have experience with Instagram, Facebook, short-form video, content strategy, Canva, editing, website structure, or digital brand building, that is a big plus.

We are very open to people who can help us make the project more visible online in a way that feels beautiful, human, and aligned.

    ## Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for people who are:

    - kind, grounded, and emotionally mature
    - proactive and capable of seeing what needs to be done
    - comfortable with simple, nature-based living
    - respectful of shared spaces and community rhythm
    - genuinely interested in wellness, nature, food, healing, or creativity
    - able to contribute with sincerity, not just consume the experience

You do not need to fit a perfect mold.

Some people will be stronger with hands-on work.
Others will bring more value through media, design, writing, digital systems, or creative thinking.

    Both matter.

What matters most is that you bring good energy, honesty, initiative, and a real willingness to contribute.

    ## The Atmosphere Here

Life at the Sanctuary is simple, peaceful, and real.

There is nature, fresh air, shared meals, conversation, occasional quiet, and plenty of space to reconnect with yourself.

This place often attracts people who are in a period of reset, transition, or re-alignment. Others come because they want to help build something beautiful and meaningful from the ground up.

Either way, this is a place where presence matters.

    ## Important to Know

This is not luxury accommodation and not a polished commercial retreat.

We are building as we go, improving step by step, and that is part of the beauty of it.

So the right person for this experience is someone who can appreciate authenticity, simplicity, and a project that is still growing.

    ## A Special Note for Digital Creators & Social Media People

If you are someone who loves:

    - capturing beautiful spaces and meaningful moments
    - creating content with depth and intention
    - helping a project find its voice online
    - turning raw vision into clear communication
    - supporting wellness, healing, hospitality, or nature-based brands

we would especially love to hear from you.

Strong social media and digital skills are highly welcome here and can make a real difference in the growth of this project.

    ## Final Words

The Sanctuary is not just a place to visit. Remember the path to the sanctuary is inside you .

It is something to help shape.

If this resonates with you, send us a message and share a little about:

    - who you are
    - what skills you bring
    - what kind of contribution you enjoy most
    - what draws you to this space
    - how long you might like to stay

We would love to connect with people who feel genuinely aligned and excited to be part of something real.

Come grow with us in Borneo.
