Description

My self is a sort of modern-day renaissance woman with a victorian-age explorer's spirit. That's the short pitch. It means I like to discover, learn and experience. I also like to think I have resilience and endurance in whatever I choose to pursue.

In other words, I like most things so I'd say I'm a generalist. I have a science degree in computer technology and I've also studied art formally as graphic design but I like art in all its manifestations. I have a passionate curiosity about the natural world and I love immersing myself in it (camping, trekking, bikepacking, climbing, surfing, skiing and such). I also really enjoy hands-on work (especially cooking) and making things (woodworking, reconditioning, decorating etc).

I am travelling full-time these days and I am trying to do it the least touristy way possible. I'm not so interested in seeing places and checking off bucket list items. I want to get to know people and places and I want to use my time and talents to make my own contributions where it matters.

I speak english fluently, spanish and french not so fluently and romanian is my native language.

* Highschool was Maths&Physics + extracurricular 3-year art school doing graphic design (digital & paper)
* University was Computer Science, specialisation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (I can program pretty much anything from websites to microcomputers and I operate most software including photo&video editing)

Experience&Expertise
Besides what I'm qualified to do in art&science, I've dabbled with a few things so far, most seriously cooking, photography, DIY (furniture reconditioning, decorating&renovating).

Abilities
Maybe I'm overconfident or even arrogant but I think I can do most things. I can drive, I can swim, I can be very fast on a bicycle, I can also fix a bicycle, I can operate power tools, I can stitch and use a sewing machine, I can shoot bows and guns, I know how to skin&butcher an animal (if needed because I'm generally vegetarian), I can read the night sky, I know how to cut hair and do makeup, I know about plants and how to prune a tree, I can ferment and distill, I can bake a good bread, I can play ball sports, I can teamplay and I can stop now. I can't sing though.

I'm actually a big fan or boardgames (including chess), Anthony Bourdain (and travel writing) and japanese vintage vans (I have a 1997 Toyota Hiace), among others.

Also currently fascinated by eastern religions (buddhism and taoism in particular) and working on my meditation practice.
