Description
Hi there! We are a young family of 3. My name is Elisabetta and my kids are Eva Luna (6 yo) and Ernesto (4). They are both peaceful and calm but also active and curious. They had workaway nannies since they were babies but we had to stop hosting due to the pandemic. We definitely want to get back on track with both the fun of hosting and the English-learning. That's why we would prefer to host a native English speaker but we are open to any other request.
---
We try to travel whenever we can. Last summer we went to the US to visit one of our former workwayers (now our "American Nonna"). We are going to Greece from 1st to 15th July so won't be able to host then.
---
I lived in London for a few years before I had the kids, so I'm fluent in English. I teach English at State Schools but I also opened an English School last year -teaching all age groups- where we use a non-formal and task-based teaching approach. We are having great success and are currently working on an English-speaking Summer Camp project that will take place from 10th to the end of June. Ideally, we need two volunteers, one who will take care of sport activities and the other one of arts and crafts workshops. Or one who could do both things!!

We have a cat, in case someone is allergic.

Help
!!! For those arriving in June, you will mainly be involved in the summer camp activities. If you volunteer for 5 hours/day at the summer camp, you won't be asked to help around the house but we will take turns washing up and the likes. Like a family member or a housemate.
Those who come in a different time of the year are expected to spend time with the kids, speak English to them, play with them, do some babysitting while I'm at work (usually they are at school when I'm at work so that's quite rare), help me do some housekeeping and cleaning, feeding and grooming the cat. You will also do some non-formal English teaching at my English school.Languages

You will stay in our house, but we don't have a guest room unfortunately. When we have volunteers, they sleep in the kids' bedroom and I share my room with the kids for the night. Be aware that the kids still use their room for playing in the afternoon, so you will have your privacy during the night of course, but not a private room. We are nice discreet people so I'm sure you will be totally fine with that :) everyone has been so far!
You will have your main meals with us.
If we are having dinner out, you are more than welcome to join but you will pay for your food. What else ...
We live in a picturesque little town known as "la capitale delle luminarie". Just google it and you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about! There is no train station but there is one in a neighboring town, 10 mins bike ride from our house. You will have a bycicle for yourself. We live right in the centre of the town, where the main square is.

Elisa, Eva Luna, and Ricardo will always be the most special workaway family ever. You will be included in everything and invited along everywhere, so there is never a dull moment! Eva Luna is one of the happiest babies I have ever met and rarely upset, always smiling.… read more
