Description
Welcome to the Williams family house on Trout lake! We have a one acre waterfront property that we have been slowly implementing some permaculture strategies into our property and are looking for people to help us with various tasks around the property. Landscaping, gardening, brush removal, wood spitting, and potentially helping with the building of other various structures as well. We have a few different options for camping areas for our guests, with several campfire spots and of course a beautiful lake to enjoy!
My wife Meg and I have two girls, 10 and 6 so we are a family friendly property, which also means that we are up early and to bed early and expect quiet hours to be respected in the evenings.
We do have a friendly dog, and two sweet cats as well
We are a very easy going and look forward to getting to know you and welcome you to our property!Types of help and learning opportunities

My wife is a teacher/ yoga instructor/ doula/ and pleasure coach. I am a carpenter and permaculture designer. The town we live near is small and consists of a mix of people, with a big influx of tourism in the summers. There is a large polish population, because we live near the first polish settlement in Canada. To hablo un poco de español, and my wife parle un peu de français. All religions, races and ethnicities are welcome, as well as political backgrounds!
We love traveling, so you may see us on your doorstep someday!Help
Our property is as beautiful as it is a challenge, it is nicely sloped down to the water with views down to the lake. I will be looking for help to extend a 4wheeler path, general landscaping, improving stairs, clearing brush, cutting and splitting wood, as well as building a sauna, an outhouse or two, and various other tasks. I am a carpenter by trade, so we could have some fun projects coming up! I will be around quite often to help out with projects, but may have other things to do so there may be periods where you will be doing tasks alone.

We have all gear needed and camping sites and bedding available for 1-2 people. We will provide three meals a day but if there is anything in between that want you will have to provide that for yourself. We live 7km from town and will be happy to provide a ride when going in.
What else ...
There is no public transportation because we are so rural, however use of bikes may be an option to use. Lots of rivers and lakes to explore and a small town to wonder around.
